I was just having this conversation today with a good friend of mine. Once we honor the vestings of our past, we must dis-identify with it in order to stop it from perpetuating into the future by continuing to ruminate & harp on it in the present moment. Over time, the traumas start to generate intrusive thoughts that are very sharp & bright & loud. It is then that you must begin to “sift” the intrusive thinking out of circulation. It’s a furnace of hell. It’s unrelenting & no one can save you from your own mental imprisonment but your own willingness to go through the shifting. It can only come from you. No one is coming to save you but you so stop running, stop excusing & thank goodness you can trust yourself now to do the true work of self-liberation ❤
