Well bush beeman this is the best show in town you remind me of Eric idle From Monty python and may convince me to get a hive but the show is just brilliant thankyou I will buy some of your products very soon thanks for everything Flint
Mark, why do you not make a bottom board all fastened together that a "Brood" or "Honey" super cant be placed on? I make up bottom boards, and then boxes that can be used as either brood or supers? Makes it easy for me when frames break, cleaning hives up etc. Great work on the Video John! Stay Safe!
I used oil based paint last year during the cooler months but it took 2-3 months to dry because of the cool weather. I would highly recommend water based because of this and easier cleanup. Water based paints are far better now than they were in the past.
@@rpeebles Thanks captain, Yeah that is what I assumed (water-based). I would prefer oil for the durability, but the object of linseed fumes gives me pause thinking it may act like repellant for the critters. Thanks for the tip.
"people in charge of our lives" Hilarious. They're seems to be more and more people these days who want to make it their business to be in charge of us. Not talking about our wives either :) Thanks for all your videos. I enjoy seeing how you do things down there in Australia.
If you have to be different from everyone else that's ok I guess generally all boxes are the same (interchangeable), and the little flat pieces of wood would be better as part of the hive base of the hive and NOT the box. Oops I only have one sized box and don't use honey supers at all.
What a great video . I am in the US . If you would like me to send you a box of mites I will be glad to send you a can so you can see how much of a pain in the ass they are . LOL . Keep your video’s coming when possible. Thanks
You're like the Bob Ross of beekeeping. Thanks for sharing with us!

Love the way you nonchalantly pick up the hack saw and whack the tin lid on with it. Hard case

I generally screw the top/bottom and nail the middle.
Love it. Screw size and gage or diameter please? Any old coating on the screws? Keep the videos coming. Thanks
Question on painting the boxes: Oil based or water based paint?
I try to use a water base to keep the fumes down. and i only paint the outside.

I don't understand why you nailed the bottom board to the box. None of the boxes in the background have bottom boards attached.
