*ABOUT 7 DAYS TO DIE*
7 Days to Die is a "Zombie Horde Survival Crafting Game". Yep, that's a lot of words. That's because 7 days to die is a lot of things. It is a zombie horror game. You are being pursued by zombies with the constant threat of a horde in 7 days, nowhere to run, nowhere to hide. They come for you on day 7, and you have that much time to prepare. If you survive that horde, another one is coming on day 14, stronger than before. You must improve your base, become more skilled, or you will lose everything. It is also a crafting game, where you can build your base, weapons, tools, even electrical traps, and turrets to keep you alive through the night. It is also a survival game, where you must scavenge food, mine resources, and manage your general health through diseases and dysentery. What makes 7 Days to Die special isn't just that unique mix of gameplay features I describe above, it is also a "fully destructible world" based on voxel technology. You can dig anywhere, destroy anything, in a true sandbox environment. The replay-ability is near infinite, limited only to your imagination and gluttony for punishment. There are multitudes of settings for you to customize your experience to make it as tough, or as creative as you wish. 7 Days to Die is also created with multiplayer in mind. You can collaborate in teams, or strike out on your own as a lone wolf. you can form alliances, group up for the shared experience, or attack other players on PVP servers for the ultimate survival challenge. Will you be the member or a community, or a threat from afar? The many, many choices are yours.

Put points into crafting speed the forges will crank out stuff way faster
I am torn when it comes to that, there are books I can read that gives those points too. I may cave before long, some things take ages.
@Genosis well I am enjoying your video from my hospital bed. Surgery went well. They found a torn muscle in my back that was repaired.
@genosis yup - rain catcher barrels don't spawn water blocks any more.. You put empty (iron?) buckets in them and they create filled water buckets... I reckon it's better to dig or frame out a shallow square pit, fill that with water from the buckets; -- and float / build your farm blocks above the man-made lake. //. Also you don't necessarily now need dew collectors, just make a water pit/plunge pool from your rain-catcher buckets.. and fill your empty glass jars from that.
I recall the upgrades for the dew collectors were so good that it sorta made it worth it, at least from what I remember from Frozen Tower. Also, it's handy that it somehow magically generates jars lol. Still, a big ol stack of crafted jars can easily fill up from a single puddle

If you are interested in going all in on being an assassin, there is a "throwables" modlet, that lets you craft & use a number of weapons that can be thrown, like shurikens or throwing knives.
Lots of fun to use.

The BIGGEST thing about science 3 is the watch. Also, see if you can make heating elements. They speed up the forges.

Rain catcher doesnt work like it use too. You have to put iron buckets into them then take the water out when they fill. The farming is slightly different now too. You have to dump water into holes.

So I hope rain collectors work for u, they didn’t for me and I was upset and once u place them down for some reason I couldn’t pick it back up but I could destroy it with some finagling. Screamer hordes can get bad and u might need the wall to protect ur goodies in ur base. 4 blocks tall r titans and behemoths and they move a lot faster now so keep that in mind. Good luck and mining at bedrock can help with screamers but I no khaine gas said non gas tools can yield more resources than gas so if ur ok with whacking at stone or digging super far down then that could be a play for u
TFP made it so you get more yield from motor tools, I wonder if Khaine adjusted it back.
And yeah apparently the rain barrels were being used to tank servers lol, this is why we cant have nice things
@ just use water ways next to farm plots and put a concrete sheet over the water in the farming notes it tells u how many plots can go down to a water source. Just make the water way as long as the horizontal support for concrete and bam clean plots and perfect system u can even make the garden off the ground if u want with this method. Zombie bears give lots of rotten flesh in the late game they also die weird now so good luck with the bodies not going away on ur path. U might need to make the path skinny so bodies fall off
Man I know its already on the list but YOU NEED A BETTER GUN! Watching you shoot the horde one bullet per reload is just so painful. Your crossbow is a machine gun in comparison to your rifle lol. Also, I love that realization of just how badly the big forge sucks for crafting stuff. Its like its only purpose for existing is to bottleneck you on developing the advanced forge where all the real crafting gets started. And the best part is, its generally such a brief part of a df run that every time you start a new one it hits you all over again. "Wow, I remembered this thing wasnt good but this is TERRIBLE!" But still, overall this was some good progress. Got the chem station, got the good forge on the way, got some good base digging out of the way.
Honestly, the way the mod is setup, after seeing so many other mods with similar, but even more complicated crafting, I really appreciate it more and more. Yes there is a lot of stuff front loaded that you have to craft in order to craft the next thing that lets you craft the stuff you want, but its generally just that initial startup thats complicated. Once you get thing arranged you no longer need to say, grind this mineral into this powder then craft this powder into this metal to create this ore which you then smelt down to create one part of a bullet. You basically finish building all the tools and suddenly its simple and easy to mass produce whatever you are after. It honestly makes me like it because it just makes good sense that starting from scratch takes time and effort but once you get established it becomes a lot easier. Thats how it SHOULD be.
Oh yes, the rifle is an absolute must to upgrade, RNG is limiting me at this point, though if I had to I would sell whatever I had to get a lathe to make it happen. Good point in the crossbow though, I was actually surprised with how fast it shoots now
