Personally if i found the noodles mouldy, i would have not tried the rest of the meal and returned it to the store. Don't forget to keep the containers so that you can buy separate heat packs and still use them to make your own hot meals.
It's a flawed design. Inferior to both pouches/cans with the moisture packed in, and ramens/dried soup mixes which can be cooked and hydrated in the same step. in a survival situation, water will all have to be boiled for safety, having clean room temp water is the first thing that goes in an off-grid situation in which you'd want survival rations
You were very smart to ditch all the noodles. To many people just cut out the mold they see not realizing the majority of mold is microhyphae, which grows throughout the item and maybe too small to see but can be just as dangerous.
@@awraltelmuun4419Have fun eating mold, I guess. Like you do understand there's a difference between wasting food and eating food that's likely to make you sick, right?
That extra heating pack for the meatballs were probably for the noodles since they seem quite thicker. More heat to keep the cooking prolonged. Definitely should've kept the extra heating pack to make the oden
I am a vegetarian and still enjoy watching these videos. I haven't seen the heating packet concept in India much but it was fun to watch how you can get hot meal outside without fire too
The noodles that had mold growing on them must have had a puncture in them or a packaging malfunction because these are almost always packaged so well from what we've seen
@@sharlharmakhis280 It should be fine in the end. There's a reason that everything is vacuum sealed separately. Not just so they can avoid cross contamination but also for instances like this where one component of the meal goes bad but everything else is safe!
I remember when my mom got a bunch of these for free from a friend, and she used the stuff inside for regular cooking, leaving the self heating stuff. So I took them to uni with instant noodles, whatever leftover meat I could find, and even a whole egg and I'd make a meal mid-lecture lmao.
i love watching your videos! It feels a bit silly but I like sitting down with my own meal to watch - feels like we're sharing a meal and you're telling me about the stuff you got!
I’m learning so much about these self heating hot pot meals! I love it. And always pat your heating bag a couple of times before cooking! Thank you @DancingBacons!
Seeing you dine with a view of Marina Bay Sands, I’d love to see you visit Marina Bay Sands again, show us if anything has changed, or just try some different things.
Even when you notice the moldy noodles and take them out, you will still remember seeing them as you eat the rest of the meal and it won’t taste as good and you’ll still feel a little sick…
@OSTemli you cannot eat black mold. It WILL make you sick. Green and white mold is fine to eat, but never black. Unless of course i am mistaken and it was green mold, then i agree eating it a few times wont kill you.
Exactly, I was surprised she didn't use one to at least boil a container of water to use for it. Also, did anyone notice how the last one didn't have any "black mold" noodles, but it definitely had another type of "moldy" added to it, (perhaps "foot fungus")?
Given that it's been known for well over two centuries that the reaction between calcium oxide and water gives off heat, I'm surprised no-one has taken advantage of the fact until fairly recently. Ok, each pad/pack can only be used once, but if my memory of chemistry serves me correctly, surely the used packs can be recycled and reprocessed into something that can be used again. As things stand these pads would be extremely useful for heating food when making a fire or carrying a portable cooker is either not allowed or unfeasible. After all, in those circumstances, clean bottled drinking water would be part of the equipment and supplies someone would be carrying.
I absolutely love your videos. However, I wouldn't have eaten anything from the one with the moldy noodles. I wouldn't have trusted anything to be good. I would have taken it back and asked for my money. I really like how honest you are in your videos, and the interesting places you go. Thank you so much for sharing your world.🥰
Im definitely on the fence about these. They look yummy and I love the idea of a self heating hotpot but I don’t think I could wait 15 minutes for it to heat up 😂
Re; the noodles? My guess is that the packaging was either compromised or it was improperly packaged at the facility and QC missed it somehow. This is the coolest idea and maybe someday I need to head back to my local Asian markets to see if we have anything like this. (Probably not because of the protein elements involved?)
The first one is really very delicious, when you operate the hot bag, remember to put the dish bowl on it after putting the water, do not wait for the water to be put again, pay attention to safety~❤❤🇨🇳
Red beef oil hotpot seems very popular in self heating form The red hotpot is extremely spicy from my experience! I normally enjoy spicy food but red hotpot is like your ears ringing when a explosion happens but in your mouth. You can't taste anything other than searing hot pain.
