@@lanceknightmare that’s untrue. Blazing blade and sacred stones are easy, but binding blade, thracia 776, conquest and radiant dawn are considered the hardest. Even genealogy can be a pain from time to time. I’ve played every single game and I can tell you with confidence those are some of the most difficult. Even echoes celica route and end game (gaiden included) is atrocious. Now that engage is out, some of the paralogues in that game are absolutely brutal, Ike’s probably being the worst of them.
I like that this follows the same canon as the other videos where Trump cares about investing into lower level units while Biden is all about availability

That's the point of Fog of War. To be fair, the best Fog of War was in Advance Wars Dual Strike: the enemy was as crippled as you were. The ones that suck in Fire Emblem are the ones you need to protect and reach an unit or the desert FoW maps.

When the main focus of the game was to marry your units instead of real strategy that's when they totally lost the plot. Explain better that "Engage" ambush business, sounds similar to Fire Emblem 6 with the units spawning after you finish you turn like a dunce haha.
@@RandalfElVikingo So like Echos and Sacred Stones you can have optional battles, we call them skirmishes in Engage. The enemies are always a little stronger than the enemies you'll be facing in the next chapter and you occasionally get more gold or experience depending on what enemies are there. Problem is, as I stated above, you have like 20 or so enemy units charging at you when the battle first begins, they could be on the otherside of the map and they will rush their way to you, it's entirely unprovoked and is made worse when they are mounted. Like after chapter 9 they all get silver weapons and it's really hard to fight without risking a unit or two. It actually forces you to spam emblems so no one dies.

Something I liked about Sacred Stones Skirmishes that could not be expanded because the GBA limitations is that every optional map had his own routes so you had to create strategies if you wanted to farm (people often says that it killed the game's difficulty, but it has it own set of challenges). My favorite example was the lava mountains: you basically have to divide your army into three teams to kill Gorgon eggs (one of the hardest monster enemy in the game) and killing the eggs before hatching allowed your units to earn a lot of experience without having to beat a strong monster with high magic. Also the map is filled with traps and other type of monsters to set up different type of strategies. A Gorgon could kill your strongest units under the right circumstances. What are you telling me is that you basically have to endure units that are harder than the main story with the excuse of farming, so: a) it makes the next mission pointless b) it is just a brainless way to earn more experience at the expense of losing a unit in the process and you basically have no control over that. That's why I stopped following the series: the point was to push your strategies to the limit, not to get overpowered to steamroll everything haha.
Bad take, big pitfall. Even ones that don't scale well into late game (and a lot do scale into late game) they help you in the early maps significantly by either softening up targets or getting you out of a mess.
