  • The rich man laughed at his brother, who inherited a lame horse from his father in a remote village... A year later, he came to visit him and was shocked

Tony sat in a chair against the wall, looking at his father, who was lying with his eyes closed, his face thin and haggard. The atmosphere in their house had been dreary for over three weeks now, ever since Tony's father had become bedridden. The diagnosis was serious, and time was running out. As soon as Howard's illness became known, his mother pleaded with the doctors, saying, "We'll pay any money, just save my husband! How much do you need? Let's send him abroad, I'll go with him and take care of him!"
Tony was unsure about the exact amount of money in their family accounts, but he knew there was a substantial sum. His father had been the head of the publishing business for many years.
Normally stern and energetic, Howard was now lying with his eyes closed, as if peacefully sleeping. But Tony knew that his father purposely closed his eyes closed whenever he entered his bedroom.
Not wanting to worsen the already difficult situation, Tony silently stood up and left. He understood that as soon as his father opened his eyes, even with his last bit of strength, he would express his displeasure at his presence.
This had been the case the previous morning. Howard audibly complained when he saw Tony sitting nearby, saying, "Why are you looming here like an eyesore? Take an example from your older brother, Vincent! He studies every day, attends all his classes! And you, you're idle, go away! Disappear from my eyes!"
Those words had hurt Tony deeply. Only he knew that his older brother, Vincent, hadn't attended the college for over two months and spent his spare time in clubs. Vincent would come to their father in the morning, but after an hour or even less, he would disappear, claiming he had to study. Tony heard how affectionately his father spoke to Vincent and how angrily he spoke to him,
At times, Tony felt accustomed to such treatment. Since childhood, he had been the scapegoat for everyone in the family. He was blamed for all troubles and failures, regardless of whose fault it was. His father only referred to him as a slacker, and a troublemaker. His brother also treated him like an enemy. Occasionally, when his mother was in a good mood, she would pity him or say a kind word after his father scolded him.
On the contrary, his parents always held Vincent up as an example. Tony couldn't understand why. Tony studied diligently and got every grade deservedly, while Vincent just had to attend lessons to bring home a diary with A's and B's. Howard regularly sponsored school for Vincent's good grades.
His brother was 2 years older than Tony, and as soon as he graduated from school, Howard immediately took care of it, and in a couple of weeks, Vincent became a student of one of the best colleges in the city. Upon Tony's graduation, his father angrily declared, "That's it, stop relying on your parents' support, go to work! And if you have enough brains, go to a correspondence college!"
That was Tony's plan as well, but his dreams of further education quickly faded into the background. A few months after his graduation, the family learned about Howard's illness. Tony had to put aside his goals and start helping his mother.
There was enough money in the family to hire a nurse, but his father adamantly refused, saying, "I deserve my wife and sons to take care of me, not some strange people!"
Most of the time, Howard’s wife took care of him. Tony would often assist her, which would provoke the patient's dissatisfaction and anger. Together with his mother, he would wash his father, change the bedding, clean the room, and even learned to administer injections.
Vincent, on the other hand, would only visit every day to sit by his father's side, holding his hand. But that wasn't the only reason. Twice, Tony overheard from another room that his brother, taking

A story with unexpected twists leads to a wonderful ending! And 👍👍the narrator is very appealing… both in reading through well… AND in the style and tone of her own voice. Much appreciated💖.

For the 1st time I can say I enjoyed the story and it is believable. In addition, there is no cruel/abusive mother-in-law or sister-in-law. The story was narrated in a pleasant manner and the woman voice was nice to listen to.

🤩l have waited for your latest story and I am not disappointed! As usual it is so beautiful with a lot f intrigues , I love the ending , however; it was very short but happy. Tony worked hard and and he deserved a good life. You have good writers in your channel, the narrator ‘s voice is the best among all the story channel I don’t mean to flatter you, but it is a pleasure to listen to your voice and British accent! Thank you so much for this wonderful story!!!

Sometimes we see misfortune as a disaster but it turned out to be a blessing because it put Tony in a place where he could learn truth about his family otherwise he would have accepted things as it was and the truth would have been lost and through it all he was able to receive his inheritance meet his sister and live happily after.
Oh if we could sometimes experience this in real life it would be great.

I have listened, visualize, and wondering why a father can have such hatred towards a child who has given you all the caring and attention on your deathbed. Wow! All along he was an impersonator, a thief and all of other names that my brains can't explain. Usually good things come to you when you wait patiently and be honest in all your ways. Its a good thing that Rachel was not a fast young lady. Tony seeyimg her: face looks familiar not knowing at that time of blood relationships. Madam Author and Narrator there is so much I will like to express in this story that its too much. Its a moving story. Although I was sitting, my mind was moving. I say well done to MASTER TONY AND HIS HAPPY ENDING.
Wonderful story Madame Author you have done it again and Narrator. 🎉❤🎉❤

First of all when I heard that Tony had a sister, I immediately knew it was Rachel.
Secondly we have heard many stories where a dog brought happiness to the family in this channel before, but this is the first for a horse.
Third you seem to have suddenly brought up Danielle at the very end. Not your usual style but a different pace I like.
And fourth, the step father/murderer at the beginning of the story probably felt like his sins were caught up with himself in the end as his own biological son didn’t help care for him on his deathbed.

Nice story but I would have liked for Danielle's appearance to have happened earlier so we could have learned how her's and Tony's relationship began and progressed. As it was, she simply appeared out of nowhere near the end of the story and almost immediately became Tony's wife just as the story ended. Despite the mishandling of Danielle's character, this was still a good story 👍🏻

Beautiful storyline which I enjoyed so much. PRAISE GOD, Who ordered the footsteps of Rachel and Tony to meet and re-unite again, using Eclipse. Vincent and his mother should have been prosecuted and made to pay for their crimes, while the Police would have recovered the stolen wealth from the thieves.

Nice story the plot confused me. Seems that Howard and Helen were in the scheme together to murder the couple and assume their identities. Going as far as using plastic surgeons. How could it be possible she went to live with her son Vincent. When she should of spent her remaining days rotting in jail. You may assist with an interrogation with a full confession and get a more lenient sentence. Like life in prison instead of death row. I can’t understand she paid no price for her involvement on this crime. Oh well you relate it so well I got really involve. Thx for sharing.
