Arrow Shuttle Loop Launch Mechanism

Did you know that the first launch coasters were cable driven? Furthermore, the Arrow launched shuttles allowed visitors to observe the launch mechanisms in action while waiting in line?

Finally got to ride this one in 2016. Got to ride all of the others except for Lightning Loops. Kings Island's Screamin Demon (RIP) was my first looping coaster, way back in the great year of 1982. Loved the Schwarzkopf versions too.

I’ve only been on the Revolution one at Blackpool, they’re fun though I hope to get on the others in the future

The way they did it was so janky, but dang, it sounds good.

To be fair, Schwarzkopf did it in a similar manner. Arrow raised the structure to lower the launch speed. The ride has some fantastic airtime.

It is, but many of the valleying issues have been fixed.
