In fact, the application detects you're not on a Samsung and automatically asks you to download the official add on, once downloaded, you don't need to worry, you won't see it as a second app, I did this in a sony Experia 1 |||. I'm yet to test the play store apps for monitoring heart rate ect but the apps are there to be downloaded via the app linking to the play store.
