Switching to WearOS is the best decision Samsung has done in a long time. They not only get more apps available on their smartwatches, but also makes their ecosystem more consistent ala Apple. It's a win-win situation for the consumers, Samsung and Google.
And Google working with Samsung to develop the software was their best decision. It was always samsung has the software google has the apps. So happy it's together now
Nope, all the apps here are either pretty lame or niche. WearOS 3 takes up 8 GB out of the box and have nothing new but less to show for with some missing advanced features from older WearOS. If the Galaxy Watch 4 had Tizen it would have 4-5 days of battery life which most people actually care about and have tens of thousands of watch faces to choose from which Google lacks.
Honestly I'm disappointed with the new WearOS, especially the battery life. The new exynos soc is SO MUCH better than the old exynos soc of watch 3, but the battery life is greatly reduced.
@@slayyou when I said software I meant the operating system. Tizen was always better than WearOS in my opinion so to merge them was great. So what I was saying was Samsung had the better OS and Google had way more apps in the store. So combine them. Hope that helped
This is my first smart watch and I love it!! (I was a smartwatch hater and only wear mechanical/automatic watches like Seiko, Hamilton, Breitling) But because of my work I tried a smartwatch, so I can see my textmessages without taking out my phone out of my pocket the whole time. I have also purchased the same strap as you in this video (original Samsung Extreme Sport band) I read, hear, see allot of comments that Tizen was better with battery life. I put on my watch around 06:30 in the morning and I take it off around 23:30 in the everning and still got 40% battery, so this is more then enough for my use. Im not wearing my watch when im going to bed. So its going on to the charger and in the morning I have a fresh battery.
Hi, I have the s21 ultra too and just bought yesterday the watch 4. When I try and insert my saved credit cards from Google wallet on my phone to my watch it keeps saying error. How can I fix it?
I love Water Drink Reminder, mostly because it's a complete app and it sync all the data with Samsung health. The only issue that I have, it's about the sync between the phone=>Clock (not the opposite), so in the app, the total count isn't always updated, but on the phone it's always updated, so at the end, it's not a big deal.
I've used android watches for a while and they've always disappointed me. Got the this watch today and I've been impressed so far. Way more quick and responsive than any others I've tried before.
People complaining about the digital rotating bezel on the regular versions must have sausage fingers or sth. Sure it's not as satisfying as the classic's physical bezel, but it's very much usable. I just got the 40mm one and it's great.
I have the Watch 4 regular version 44mm and I can say that I never use the digital rotating bezel. I only use touch and scroll. The digital bezel is not appealing to me and it isn't practical.
I used the haptic on my Active 2 every now and then but honestly turned it off for the 4 . On both the swipe is so natural and accurate I find it faster and easier .
I love Strava but I'm disappointed with what they have on Wear OS so far. When you consider how many people are paying for the premium subscriptions, it's kind of insane that they have such a barebones app. I posted this feedback for Strava Wear OS, hopefully they make some improvements. 1) Orange on black contrast looks great indoors but it's difficult to see while running. 2) Can't see current pace, only average pace is shown. 3) Distance traveled is sooo tiny, impossible to see while running. 4) No map feature like the phone app. 5) No live segment support even with LTE. 6) Missing mile audio queues... really?? 7) GPS lock takes insanely long time.

Thank you for awesome video Few questions: 1) All features will work with Non Samsung phones like OnePlus? 2) Can we connect any brand's Bluetooth earbuds/headphones with this watch - if yes than can we pick a call from watch and talked via earbuds which is connected to watch ? 3) Battery life Please pick my question 🙏
1) I'm using the Galaxy Watch 4 with my OnePlus 7t. Samsung is blocking the ECG and blood pressure features when connected to non-Samsung devices since the Samsung Health Monitor is only available on the Samsung Store and it's restricted to only work on phones of the brand. Although, user Dante63 from XDA, was able to remove those restrictions and now I'm able to use most of the features. 2) You can definitely use the buds to connect to the watch and, most likely you'll be able to take calls from them (haven't tested, yet). There's a specific button in settings that allows you to connect external Bluetooth devices. I've already used the OG Galaxy Buds and the Sony WH-CH710N and they both work well. 3) only had the watch for a few days and I'm still using it heavely to test it out but it's holding up well, almost a full day.
The ability to make/receive phone calls when away from your phone and Wi-Fi . The ability to send/receive messaging when away from your phone and Wi-Fi . The ability to watch your watch battery drop 10% a minute when watching TH-cam while on data network . The ability to find something else to do while your watch cools down if you use it for a more than 2 minute phone call while in craptacular reception area of LTE when on the data network . Other than that only the ability to purchase something else with the money you saved by getting the Bluetooth/Wi-Fi only version . Even with those flaws I'm still glad I got the LTE version for ability to stay in contact when I'm away from my phone at work and there's no Wi-Fi outside where I work .
Hi Mike, how do we get the Google Camera app to work on the watch? When I try, it says 'Connecting to phone...' and then 'Check your connection and try again.' Am not able to proceed further. I have a non-Samsung phone.

Getting Google assistant on a Samsung phone is straight like hiring your own assassin / intellectual property troll

Few questions:
1) All features will work with Non Samsung phones like OnePlus?
2) Can we connect any brand's Bluetooth earbuds/headphones with this watch - if yes than
can we pick a call from watch and talked via earbuds which is connected to watch ?
3) Battery life
Please pick my question 🙏
@@_davide_ I am not able take calls from OnePlus bullets Z after connecting OP bullet z to watch.
We would like to throw our hats in the ring for top apps! Or Games? Combat Wear 2 should make the list =}
I am using Google Keep on my S21 Ultra but what about Samsung Notes on the watch?
I like those white bands, how can I get them?
Is there a link to the Roku App
Do you have the 40mm or 44mm ,if you have the 40mm what battery life do you get?
I'm planning to get one
I have a 40mm Galaxy Watch and a 46mm Galaxy Watch Classic
@@MikeOBrienMedia what is average battery life you get on the 40mm
Mine is 40mm it last for 35 hours
Where did you get that strap?
Its samsung extreme sport band
On the Google Keep app for the Watch 4, is it for just typing info into it or will it also read notes created on a phone or computer?
Yes it sync on the note that u already have
@@Orangefools yes, it does go from watch to phone/computer but apparently not from phone/computer to watch.
What size of galaxy watch is this on you? 40 or 44?
Does it has shazam
Yes
8:46 and thats why rotating bezel is a must 😂
I noticed you had waves tracker installed? How's that working for you? I cannot upload to phone, gets stuck..
*Komoot (at least here in Finland, Europe)
Thanks for the vid, been waiting for these!
Oops. Thanks for correcting
Hi,so does that light control works n apartments, can't find travel charger 4 the galaxy 4 watch,
Which one is more value?
Bluetooth or LTE version?
And what all features will I be missing if I pick Bluetooth version?
I have a non-samsung phone. I don't see Google Pay in Watch 4 playstore. Anyone has an idea why its not enabled?
Google wallet :)
Hi Mike...
Could you please review google pixel buds A series and compare it with galaxy buds 2 please...
Hi Mike, how do we get the Google Camera app to work on the watch? When I try, it says 'Connecting to phone...' and then 'Check your connection and try again.' Am not able to proceed further. I have a non-Samsung phone.
“Calm is an exciting app?”
calm makes me feel calm
Hey, can you get me the link of the roku app? I can't find it on the store. Maybe it's not available in my country
