- This series will introduce important knowledge to both existing and intending motor cyclists, from how to choose the right bike to how to protect yourself on the road or track. Inexperience, unpreparedness, and a powerful machine, are all factors which cause motor cycle accidents, and contribute to an awful and unnecessary waste. This film points out the different types of motor cycles appropriate to different individuals, purposes and situations, as well as explaining how a motor cycle works. Made by Film Australia 1976. Directed by Peter Johnson and Tony Hansen.

I got my first bike in 1975 age 16 & 9 months, the legal age for my Ls. 45 years and about 50 bikes later I am still riding, but I still yearn for this era in Ausie motorcycling, consequently I have quite a collection of pre 1980 bikes.
Uploading now. Sorry for the delay.
A motorcycle safety video, the first bike on was a 750 Widowmaker! I wonder how many kids passed their tests on bantam and jumped straight into one of those. Doesn't bear thinking about.
1976........damn it was so cool back then
Oh no! If only we had uploaded earlier. Stay safe until ep2 "Basic Riding Techniques". Five eps in the series.
Yes this is the first episode. It is a fairly short series of only five episodes.
Very nice, looking forward Ep 2 especially after my accident 2 days ago!
The animation figures remind me of the Italian claymation series The Red and The Blue. You can find them on You Tube.
Cool,l I am going to look for it now. Cheers
Is this the first in the series of Motorcycle Safety videos? I think I saw Part 2 yesterday.
Ah! Ok. I look forward to seeing part 3.
The first bloke was clearly traumatised by witnessing that wreckage...if it had been he whom had _sold_ the bike to the victim, it would be pretty hard to deal with.
Im laughing at the child like explanation cartoons etc, but I bet you that this was a tv programme for adults well obviously.. but goes to show how the government authorities treat us all like children for our whole lives even today in 2013 this kind of basic information programme are on the television all the time that's why I stopped watching the idiot box back in 2008
