I did something similar with a bro playing 4U last week.
Made me feel old.
I remember soloing him for the first time with a rathalos Lance. 48 mins 30s. The timer was flashing red.
Lance is a great matchup for him. I have a 10:12 uploaded in TA style.

@@arlinalvera1773 He's talking about the fact that the attack itself missed despite being very close to Peppo. A lot of the hitboxes on other monsters are so big that in a similar situation where the monster's model doesn't touch the player but is still relatively close to the player the player would still be hit.
Tigrex charge, rajang moves and many more are as tight

agree, this one is my favorite theme
I knew this was coming up soon. The first wall I never climbed. I have never defeated an Ukanlos (which I pronounce "You-can-lose") and it haunts me to this day. Even when I finally played online for the first time just to get help in defeating ol' shovel face I just could never measure up. Maybe it's time to go back and try again now that I'm a much more accomplished hunter.

Im fighting this guy using GS and narga armor for evade window +..this is definitely not hard solo...but dual black diablos is f-ing hard solo..
You have to use the "rocket" (fire) hammer. In combination with flashbangs it is awesome but still pretty hard 😂
Hopefully akantor and ukanlos will make it into sunbreak
doubtful but I agree. those two are among my favourites

one of my top 'final bosses'/ theme is great, and the grank armor in 4u is one of the best ever made design wise
What I remember is my brother cheese this fight using LS paralyze build. It works and ukanlos paralyzed for an entire 15 mins.

Started in Tri. Played 3, 3U, 4U, Gen, and so on. Started in the hub in 4U. This guy was the reason I didn’t play G-rank until GenU. He walled me so hard in 4U. I had a group of friends in G-rank, and they couldn’t even help me through it. I was maybe 8 at the time. Beat the snot out of him in Generations though. Good times. Still hoping him and Akantor are in Sunbreak.

This monster is quite easy if you just keep some distance away from it while underground, wait until it dives down and go through it, especially if you're a Hammer main, Ukanlos seen stars after that.

This thing, it's a "flying wyvern" believe it or not
That's pretty funny. But I guess that's just because monsters are categorised by body type rather than features and Ukanlos has a similar skeleton to nargacuga and tigrex, perhaps sharing a common ancestor. Real world taxonomy has a bunch of similar oddities

Teostra, Lunastra and Kushala: resemble modern day wyverns but are called Elder Dragons
Ukanlos: Has 4 limbs, no wings and doesn’t even look like a wyvern but is considered a flying wyvern
Teostra, Lunastra and Kushala do not resemble wyverns. Wyverns lack front legs, while dragons have their wings on separate limbs.
Ukanlos being a flying wyvern is still funny tho :D
Never heard of him til I started playing online in unite.
Never fought him (or basically g rank monster) solo successfully, wasn't even able to get into g rank without help, ripped through low and high, but g was such a large gap from high rank.
How to make Ukanlos blinded to death
- 4 Hunters, bring 15 flashbomb each
- Everyone use maxed Silos LS
- In turn to throw flashbomb until Ukanlos die
- Profit

I played 3p again after watching this videos, by any chance do you know any LS armor combo, because for blademaster armor i pretty much use rathian set for the divine protection. Do you have any suggestions on armor set? Or maybe some mix armor.
The hitlag for longsword back then was so good. Rise version makes me feel like im using a greatsword hahahha
Try the Gnash Katana, green sharpness but absurd raw. Pretty sure it out damages Narga since the difference in raw is massive and bludgeoner is like 90% of blue sharpness. Technically I think Narga is better than it while you're in white but it's marginal iirc, not to mention you'd have to give up slots for protective polish since MT isn't 100% in Rise. My build got like 75 affinity and crit boost and attack 7 among other things. Does absurd damage with helm breaker. I forget the exact math but I'm pretty sure Gnash is better since the base raw difference is so high that the sharpness and slightly higher affinity don't really matter

MHWI monsters are high hp/defense piñatas.
You can criticize FU hitboxes but at least that forces you to be more aware of not being an attack spammer and get punished for it.
Is elemental Long Sword far overpowering Raw Longsword in this game? I rarely see someone using elemental attack skills with Longsword
I got my old save (100% complete honestly) and I tried G Rank Tigrex with LBW. MHWI had me so spoiled that returning to MHFU felt like going from Easy difficulty to Hardest difficulty. I love MHFU felt kind of simple and "survival action" while MHWI(and MH Rice, I guess) felt more complex and easy.
And no guiding lands extra farming for more shit. Repetitive games shouldn't make you spend even more extra additional time for more extra additional power. FU was well balanced in this.

Lol ukanlos similar gravios, you can see crack on body after breaking stomach armor, but crack on stomach only once
