Hi there and thanks for your question. Well in theory you can have also a website on it, no problem. However I have a dedicated WP installation on a subdomain so it has a unique database and separate files. That would be the best solution I think 😀
I haven't seen a recent video using any of the extentions for backups, if you can would be nice to see one using Updraft Plus and or any of the other extentions.
Hi there! Thanks for your question. By my knowledge it’s not possible to control a time limit. You can however just delete the plugin after a certain amount of time. Just out of curiosity, why would you need a time limit?
Hi Billings, thanks for your question. I know you can post it via a form like Gravity Forms, but posting it then to multiple sites… that sounds like some other thing. Try to ask the developers of MainWP 😀😂
Apologize for blowing you up … What's your opinion on having WordPress, Themes & Plugins on auto-update? Do you leave everything on auto-update and just wait for Uptime Robot to give you a notification that something went wrong, or do you manually come and update in Main WP and most likely avoid the crashes?
Good question again 👍🏻😀 no problem, keep them coming! I have 2 groups in my dashboard, one for clients and one for my personal websites. I update all my own websites first in one go, so I’ll know all is right. Then after a few days I update all clients websites. It’s really safer this way! So no I don’t use the auto updates 👍🏻 BUT I regularly check my dashboard (almost every day) so I wont forget really important security updates.
@@WPressDoctor That's smart, but many argue to have it all on auto due to security vulnerabilities (wordpress community facebook group) ... but if you frequently checking MainWP just like I would, you won't miss an update... well unless we 💀 Before MainWP, I was doing this manually, getting notified by security plugins of what updates there is, all updates off just to avoid those crashes 😢
Hi Bossion! Thanks for the heads up. I didn’t know that. If that’s a really important feature for you to have, then MainWP is not the right tool for you 😃
Hey, great video. How do you secure that wp board site - only with wp ithemes or some extra security measurements? Second, does it work with wp multisites?
Hi Michael! Yes it works with multisite, as each individual multisite has a child MainWP plugin installed 👍🏻😀 And yes secure it with iThemes and 2 factor authentication would be enough 😁
Hi Marco, thanks for the adding. Where did you encounter problems? I have had no problems with 40 websites on MainWP, all connected and secured using iThemes…
Will sitegrounds security plugin configured with 2FA be a good security option or ithemes? If you have to choose only one which one will you go for Matt?
Hello. After I finished installing, when I want to add a site, it tells me that WpChild is not found. Although it is installed and activated. Do you have any idea why or what I should do?
Hi Robert, thanks for your question. That is not the way it should work. Try checking these pages for troubleshooting: managers.mainwp.com/t/unable-to-add-a-site-to-dashboard/3125 it might work for you.
Hold on, the entire video until close to the end, that entire part is the free version? Without addons? Lifetime is $499, that's ZAR10 000 for me and quite a large amount of money. I won't be able to get lifetime now, I don't have that funds yet and will take a couple of months as I not too long ago started doing websites etc. Is it advisable to use free? Is that good for now? What's your opinion?
Another thing, I'm using shared hosting. The load on server, would that be a bad thing, I'm assuming yes and I was thinking of hosting my dashboard somewhere else, would this be better?
I have like 15 websites I'm managing and it's a headache once you run into issues and comes to updating. I went with ManageWP but immediately checked what are my other options and came across MainWP. Checked the reviews for ManageWP and they were good but some recent was bad. Also according payments, ManageWP charges for everything you use so if you use less it's cheaper but look at the MainWP, one payment for everything, much more reasonable and I like it overall. Need to work on that $499 ... just recently got Divi lifetime, been using free themes like blocksy and astra, avada for myself
Hi there! Well you actually can. Just login to your hosting company and create a subdomain and build everything on there! After it is all completed, use this video to put it live: th-cam.com/video/YZn0ObFragk/w-d-xo.html Its the most easiest way 😊
Hi Denis, thank you for your comment. I just checked, the code works on Montlhy and Yearly subscriptions. Unfortunately not on the LifeTime deal... Maybe in just a few weeks with Black Friday?
So the mainWP dashboard should be a dedicated WP install? No existing website already shared on it?

Hi Mario, yes that’s a great idea. Will add it to my list! Thnx!
i did not understand if i buy pro will i have also rocket subscription or just i can handle it from mainwp?thanks
Hi Tasos! You don’t get a WP Rocket subscription with MainWP, it only enables you to manage it on your child sites 👍🏻😀
@@WPressDoctor thanks a lot for the answer
You are very welcome! Have a great day!
You are very welcome!
How can I control the period of license I have, for example, monthly, yearly, etc. when installing a plug-in such as WP-ROCKET to a customer?

I know Mainwp can be used for posting on multiple sites. Can it be used to post from a front end submission form?

mainwp support CPTs content, but disappointment it not support ACF fields, so, that mean's you need edit content twice(into subsite edit ACF fields).

@@WPressDoctor Be carefull, iThemes can limit or stop mainwp from doing it job properly. It needs to be configured carefully.

I would go with iThemes because I have a years of good experience with it ☺️

Free works indeed for sure! You would not have the Add ons but on the beginning that’s ok until you have enough clients!
No that is not necessary. Just make sure the uptime checker is on UptimeRobot, that gives you 50 website monitors for free 👍🏻😀

I would like to redesign my website (with your videos) , but meanwhile keep my current website running. Is this how to do that? (Non IT person).😊

Hi again! No sorry, not yet tried that ☝🏻
I would love to see a video that goes through the extensions, cuz I'm lost. LoL.
Hi Kelly! Yeah thats also a great idea to make videos about 😀👍🏻 it’s really extensive!
Very nice video, MAIN WP discount is not working!

Please add subs in portuguese
Hi there! Thanks for the comment! I only can do that if I have English subtitles. This will come sometime in the future 😀
