    Great stuff. I pay over $3700 in annual fees to Amex but the status and benefits that comes with it easily out weighs the annual fees. Love your channel man.

      I love amex but no the he'll it doesn't dude no amount of cards is worth 3.7k in annual fees lol

      @flywithrookie - Some folks get triggered a bit regarding annual fees. I don't recommend these cards to anyone who aren't into travel and definitely not to anyone who can't get value and also can't offsetting the fees.
      Are you a Delta fan? I have to be honest; they just get the job done for me :). I prefer Air France but give that they are both SkyTeam, it works.

      @@vinichi3014that’s your opinion I get it. Maybe your income and spending behaviors aren’t the same as mines. Everyone’s aspirational travels aren’t the same. That would significantly place a gap on how we value things.
      Give a little context. Me and my P2 have a combine 4 Aspire cards. We will be using those FNC at WA in Maui this New years. That’s over $10k in cash just for the stay. During that time of year rooms are ranging from $1500-$1800 a night. Between our 4 FNC on the aspire and 1 FNC on the Surpass that stay is negated. Then we have $800 in resort credits to use on-top of the stay offered by each aspire card. Additionally we have been getting our quarterly $50 resort credit via gift cards on the surpass which gave us an additional $200 bringing our grand total to $1000 to cover meals during our 5 night stay. To top it off we are both diamond status thanks to our aspire cards which also grant us F&B credit daily at the resort which is a combine $50 a day.
      Of course with our platinum card we are granted lounge access which we value tremendously.
      Again it’s a YMMV.
      Edit: spelling error and added a little more context.

      I 100% support not getting cards that do not work for you especially with high annual fees. That's why I started off the video stating who this was for. Please notice that last week I released a $0 AF travel credit card strategy because I know that there are a few camps regarding AFs.

    Awesome video! Im just starting my travel card game and im looking at the Delta Gold card just because of the SUB currently. I just got the Amex Gold card almost a month ago and the Hilton Honors 4 months ago so I feel like im pressing my luck with Amex, and I definitely want to stay on their good side. When I grow up, I wanna be like you my guy in the travel game. Bravo on the video! 🎉

      Amex is pretty forgiving but be sure to pace yourself and not get over extended. The game goes on for a while so please do rush it else you might find yourself justifying a card.
      Have fun along the way and don't pay fees if you don't have to.

    I mainly use Amex and travel mostly with Delta, so I’m know exactly what you’re talking about. I too want to travel comfortably and reasonably well from start to finish. I stopped caring what others thought about me but I do enjoy your content and love traveling internationally. Keep up the good work! Hope to see you at a lounge! 😊

      Man I hear you. I enjoy comfort when I travel else it's just not enjoyable. Not saying that I fly business class all the time but I do my best to get the most that status offers. On domestic Delta flights, I have to do at least Comfort+ else I die back there. Thanks for supporting the channel. See you at a Centurion Lounge nearby.

    As always, your videos are excellent. For the next one, can you make a mixed one? Not with the top cards, nor with the top cards. I know that you use your mother as an experiment in the ease of use of the cards, but can you make one for a younger brother, who doesn't have much income yet but would like to select his next cards well at a reasonable price? Thank you and I hope your channel grows a lot. Always look forward to the next video.

      @@RSquared-travel-rewards I'm actually thinking of a video that shows a timeline to get to, say, the setup for this video. Let me explain, you start with the cards from the last video, in the first year, then card x in the next 3 months, then the next, etc... something like that. This way it shows the starting times and the cards a person could get "if they want" to have that credit card status from this video. Let me know if I was any clearer. Thanks.

    Your video's are awesome! I'm literally taking a 2 week trip from Boston to Italy with my entire family with points, in large part to your channel! Any suggested airline and hotels to make this more cost/point effective? I'm thinking AirFrance. Side note congrats on Bilt Platinum Status!

    • @RSquared-travel-rewards
      @RSquared-travel-rewards  5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@cryptolunch5291 That's great news!! Air France would definitely be my first choice. They have flash sales to Europe each month. I fly them the most by far. There are really no tricks when it comes to hotels. It takes tons of points for 2 weeks of hotel stays. Hopefully you have some free night award certificates. Don't rule out airbnbs.

    I keep thinking that you need to lead a channel member expedition to Africa-say, 2026-so that we have the time to get the cards, farm the points, and go along on a journey. I think the only way I'd do Africa at this point is with an organized tour.

    • @RSquared-travel-rewards
      @RSquared-travel-rewards  5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Ok, I will officially think about it! I normally hate yours so this would have to be a small tour that doesn't feel like a tour.

    Delta nerfed the hell out of the loyalty program. No way will they ever make a single card that gives status. They even nerfed what the Reserve cards gave us. I'm shocked that two cards will be instant Silver. (I'm in the process of determining when to add a plat to the reserve - as I have carry-over status for 2025. I will probably do it when I can offset AFs and renew the companion certs).

    • @RSquared-travel-rewards
      @RSquared-travel-rewards  5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I hear ya. I do consider the new way of acquiring status to be vastly simplified. I'm counting that Silver status will net me an upgrade here and there in 2025 but I'm not holding out for much. I collected the Reserve just because the companion cert works for 1st class else I would have stuck with 2 Delta Platinums.
