It doesn't matter whether the boat costs £5 million or £50k you always pay attention to the smallest of details. Considering this boat is 18 yrs old it must be one of the cleanest 25 ft boats for its age you have shown us. I just wish I had £50k to spare
My Grandad had one of these from new when I was growing up, used to be kept down in Exmouth Marina. It made for some really great family days out and was sorely missed when he eventually went on to sell it. Awesome to see one again for a little trip down memory lane, thanks Nick!
The space below deck on this boat is truly amazing considering the size. I’ve seen brand new 32’ plus boats that have nowhere near the space this one provides. Very nice boat and very well kept. Thanks for sharing this one Nick.
That's a nice little yacht, definitely a lot for your money, you would not think the interior was as big as it is from the outside. Nice tour as usual Nick thank you.
This boat just doesn't seem that old. Love the sliding seat, aft lounge, very cool steering wheel. It's just one nav upgrade and paint job away from being perfect starter boat
My dad had a Doral 250se for like 15 years. This boat is awesome, I spent atleast 4 weeks a year on it during that time. In this walkthrough he forgot to mention that it has a shower on the bridge aswell wich is more used than the indoors one. Great video and a awesome boat!
Largest boat we owned was 18ft, it was a speedboat that seated 5 max, incredible to think that this boat is only 7ft longer and yet has so much space onboard.
I both enjoy small boats and the big superyachts. The former because they often squeeze in so many features and options inside a particular space and then the big ones allow you to grade the tastes of the owner
Never had much of an interest in boats but this channel has changed that. This boat is more my price range and well packaged for it's size. Nice review.
I looked into a Doral many years ago. If my memory is working correctly they were no longer manufacturing boats after the market crashed in 2009. It was a beautiful boat.
This is probably the nicest 20 year old 20-25' sports cruiser on the market. Everything from the canopies, which were perfectly made, to the fender covers, to the chafe guards on the lines to protect the hull paint shows that this owner really did not hold back any costs. For $50,000 this sure is a very nice little boat, perfectly maintained and upgraded.
compact & bijou is the best description you can give this boat a good weekender for going up the coast or island hopping .... thanks for sharing Nick ... and it's in great condition for it's age
As starter boats go or upgrading from a cuddy boat, you can't beat Doral for a bargain buy for your cash. When you think how much an equivalent size Princess, Fairline etc would cost, you can understand my reasoning. Lovely piece of kit that I would happily like to have in my possession.
And thank you Nick for this nice show of this Doral 250 SE a nice sport boat for a day or weekend. My first thought was that you did already this Doral but I was wrong the closed was a Crownline 250CR what I find in your play list . Thanks again
Looks to be a great value weekender. Sleeping areas for 2 couple (or small family) as a weekender and plenty of versatile room in the cockpit. Looks quite nice as well.
Lovely wee thing. Being up here in the West of Scotland a boat like this would out-perform larger boats around some of the isles and lochs as they can be quite narrow and shallow (before you risk rock) so a wee beauty like this would get you in and out of otherwise inaccessible places. I think the MDF and, perhaps sonar / radar, could do with modernisation. Nick didn't mention if it has heating so adding a diesel heater might be another upgrade. No TV that I saw but these days you can get a 10 inch tablet for pennies and add some speakers, cuddle up around that with an already downloaded movie.
That’s a cute little boat, nice to see an adorable boat that is laid out well and offers enough space for two to spend a weekend on. Nice tour Nick, good choice 👍
A very nice boat and really useable and even affordable for even a small budget. Perfect to get into boating! Thanks a lot for giving us this insight Nick!
I restored the gel-coat on one of these about a year ago. The boat had sat on a lift in the Florida sun for 5 years without being touched. It took me about 70 hours total with all that it needed. These boats now give me nightmares. Lol.
I love it that you show boats in all different price ranges, it makes it more realistic that I'll be able to own one, one day! And also, nice job, as always!
Was Jacques planning on taking the boat for a joy ride? I'd keep an eye on the little scamp if I were you! :-). Nice little overnighter, maybe a weekender at a push.
You look the youngest on the smaller boats, and that might indicate you realy love them the most :D :D. Don't worry, I love every tour, wether its a small boat or a super yacht, and i'm sure most of us do :) Thank you.
Hi Nick . Appreciate how detailed & thoughtful your reviews are no matter the type or size of boat . Your videos are always information & entertaining . With you . Mark (Toronto) 👍🌈
I was checking a boat once. It had a good list to port. Popped the port hatch and there was no water. I forgot to consider the starboard engine was taken out for maintenance.
The layout of this boat is very similar to my Bayliner, but the fittings are more modern and the cockpit space us better used on this boat. Would love to have my boat refit to look like this.
Mark off TWENTY FIVE FEET (or about 7 ½ meters) in your driveway or on the road passing by your home or 3 parking spaces wide in a car park. That is the length of this boat. Now watch this video again and take note of the clever use of that 25 feet. Nick points out the obvious bedroom under the cockpit, but the entire boat is made of these clever spaces. Once more, pause the video - look outside at how relatively small 25 feet of space is. The origami designers at Doral unfolded a winner with this 250SE.
You have great content, with great presentation skills. I just bought a 20' Chapparal and that interest has brought me here. I also used to work on cruise ships and often found myself in Southampton and bunches of other ports in the UK.
Nick, in some of your videos, when going through the wheelhouse, I've seen a pair of round instruments hanging from the wall. They seem to be some kind of clock or compass encased in a stainless steel housing. Perhaps on your next video you could stop by and explain us what's the use of those.
That’s a lot of boat for only 25’. And a great buy. Sure it needs some minor updates, but the cost to make those improvements will be far less than buying new.
Great tour as always and a great boat for the size which is wearing its age very well - some subtle upgrades I’d imagine! Keep up the great work Nick 👍
Cracking boat. I drove past Southampton marina and it is hard to understand the size of a boat. They had a 45’ foot boat out of the water and it is the same size as a 4 bed detached house. So much under the water. Great video as always. Do you have any Numarine in your arsenal. Incredible yachts. Keep them coming Nick, your videos create a sense of calm and forward thinking.
Great video again Nick, the sky’s are getting greyer on each video. Keep up the good work as I do look forward to you videos and if you don’t post one I’m a little miffed.
Good for you in doing a tour of a more affordable boat. More of these if and when you can please 😁 This one is a little gem, a super boat although I’ve not heard of Doral before, guessing she might be American
Another great watch. Could you do some films with like Best Buy for under £10k, £15k and so on to give your experience of what people should look for etc. your knowledge would be great. I know what to look for on the £1m + 😀 but unsure on on the lower end as it all is a little baffling…
hi nick.good honest review as usual.this style of american boats of this sort of size are many.they are a great value.specially the se(special addition)versions.i suppose like the inflation uk effecting everything.this boat should be 10 000 pound cheaper given the season is over.it has some cosmetic touches but still doesnt justify the price.great starter boat for someone or for someone just waiting for a newer model etc.take care sailor.;)
You're slipping, Nick! You forgot to show us the hob so we could see how many burners it has! ;) A typically nice tour of a nicely maintained and upgraded sports cruiser. It's very similar to the Sea Ray Sundancers of similar vintage that are ubiquitous over here in the US (you've gotten me looking at boat listings, Nick!), with some pluses and minuses. I do have to say I dislike the looks of the bulbous foredeck on these, especially in the shorter models. A lot of them have the same aft-facing lounge to port, and I have a question about that. Smuggler's has the same layout, and in your videos I often see Marianne standing in the center of the boat when you're offshore, and I can't help but think she'd be more comfortable if there were a forward-facing companion seat, even if she were only standing and leaning against the bolster. What's your/her take on that? I've been put off boats that lack a forward-facing port seat or at least a double-wide helm seat because of it. I rather like the reversible seats you see on many of the pilothouse boats.
Smuggler's has a double helm seat, so there's room for her to sit if she wants, but we both prefer to stand, either at the helm or next to it. A third forward facing seat would be great, but completely mess up the interior layout.
Fantastic little starter boat. And it was in great shape - things like the seating surfaces, the canopies and steering wheel all looked like they were replaced or lovingly restored. Thanks for showing us this one!
Great affordable boat. Might be a strange question, but it would be interesting to know the litres of fuel per hour figure at given speeds. Very informative video nonetheless.
I do enjoy these more affordable boat tours as much as the multi million pound ones. Great stuff as per. Cheers.
Glad you like them!
I still couldn't afford the affordable!😥✌️💖
I like both, because goals.
It would be great to see you join Harry Dwyer on his adventure around Britain in a tiny speed boat, although the boat tour wouldn't last long!
It doesn't matter whether the boat costs £5 million or £50k you always pay attention to the smallest of details. Considering this boat is 18 yrs old it must be one of the cleanest 25 ft boats for its age you have shown us. I just wish I had £50k to spare
It should be on everyone’s checklist to make sure the engine is still there.
It's not getting better anywhere, isn't it?
That's a nice little yacht, definitely a lot for your money, you would not think the interior was as big as it is from the outside. Nice tour as usual Nick thank you.
This boat just doesn't seem that old. Love the sliding seat, aft lounge, very cool steering wheel. It's just one nav upgrade and paint job away from being perfect starter boat

I'm glad that you enjoyed it 🙂

I have an 08 Doral Monticello with a volvo penta 5.7L. Doral made a great boat.
this is the kind of boat id like to get as a family boat for a day or a weekend out on the water. all you need really to start out with
Getting loads of Smugglers' Blues vibes with this one! This should be a really fun boat to get around in!
Awesome, welcome to boating! 🙂
Nice to see a review of boats most boaters could afford. Great to see the difference in new vs old.
I looked into a Doral many years ago. If my memory is working correctly they were no longer manufacturing boats after the market crashed in 2009. It was a beautiful boat.
Great tour as always. The ingenuity of boat designers never fails to impress. This boat would be so much fun!
This is probably the nicest 20 year old 20-25' sports cruiser on the market. Hey that’s our baby! We have it on lake garda as a dayboat. It’s aged very well and we still all love it!
That is awesome!
As starter boats go or upgrading from a cuddy boat, you can't beat Doral for a bargain buy for your cash. When you think how much an equivalent size Princess, Fairline etc would cost, you can understand my reasoning. Lovely piece of kit that I would happily like to have in my possession.
Surprisingly good accommodation, wasn’t expecting that. But what a lovely thing to own, the ideal med pub hopper .
And thank you Nick for this nice show of this Doral 250 SE a nice sport boat for a day or weekend. My first thought was that you did already this Doral but I was wrong the closed was a Crownline 250CR what I find in your play list . Thanks again
Its great to occasionally see something more affordable, but the super-yachts are the most entertaining.
Love that you do the little boats as well.
Looks to be a great value weekender. Sleeping areas for 2 couple (or small family) as a weekender and plenty of versatile room in the cockpit. Looks quite nice as well.
Lovely wee thing. Hi Nick. A lot of boat for the size and price. A perfect starter for getting on the water. Great video as always 😊
Thanks 👍
That’s a cute little boat, nice to see an adorable boat that is laid out well and offers enough space for two to spend a weekend on. Nice tour Nick, good choice 👍
That is a lot of boat for the money and it also looks very clean and tidy.
That looks like a quality item, the wood finishes are lovely. A great way to get out on the water!
While I love the dream superyachts, this one here to me is the perfect boat to take the missus out for a day in the sun. Thank you, Nick!
A small boat but well thought out, the bow area might be a challenge at first but I think it would give many hours of happy boating.
Taking the kids out for the day would be a second one this one. Thank you Nick. Stay safe out there.
Thanks, you too!
@@AQUAHOLIC the spell check on here its crazy not working. And your would think I was a little tipsy with the way it was wrote. Lol. Sorry.
That aft facing lounge is just love
Quite a nice boat for the weekends
does anyone know who made that canopy? Looks great!
Wow! A LOT packed into a small package!
Thanks again Nick!
Thanks for watching!
Nice, quick tour Nick! 😉👍🏻
All those curtains look like a nightmare. 😳🥴
Definitely a boat for younger people.
This boat is nearly 20 years old and looks brand new. Very nice.
wow! for the money this is amazing! seems like a much BIGGER boat then 25 feet, brilliant Nick, thank you!
“Make sure the engines are still there” love it nick, you always manage to crack me up 😂 keep up the great work friend!
Glad you enjoyed! :)
Keep up the good work Nick - another cracking boat tour!
Thanks, will do!
wow it has a galley, decent sized dining area, heads, and a nice cabin to sleep in, all in 50K! Usually this kind of thing would be about 90K.
Its one of things where five and a half foot tall people have a major advantage over us six two people.
This was my very first boat. Absolutely fantastic !
Awesome! 😃
Great review, thanks. Gives some food for thought for those who might look to buy a starter boat one day.
very nice little boat looking bigger inside than you would think.
A very nice boat and really useable and even affordable for even a small budget. Perfect to get into boating! Thanks a lot for giving us this insight Nick!
Our pleasure!

And also, nice job, as always!
Yes, he is very professional - and pleasant and likable, quite rare these days. I too hope this tour may get viral.
Was Jacques planning on taking the boat for a joy ride? I'd keep an eye on the little scamp if I were you! :-).
Nice little overnighter, maybe a weekender at a push.
He's a tricky blighter! 😄
You look the youngest on the smaller boats, and that might indicate you realy love them the most :D :D. Don't worry, I love every tour, wether its a small boat or a super yacht, and i'm sure most of us do :) Thank you.
A very cute and neatly organized boat.. Loved it..
Love getting a look at boats that I *theoretically* could own one day!
Hi Nick . Appreciate how detailed & thoughtful your reviews are no matter the type or size of boat . Your videos are always information & entertaining . With you . Mark (Toronto) 👍🌈
Much appreciated!
Yes!
We are waiting the best yacht with the price as cheapest as possible...
I do like that. Would be a great starter boat.
Great starter boat 👌
Yes, I made it to 2nd 👍
Well done!
😂😂😂
I was checking a boat once. It had a good list to port. Popped the port hatch and there was no water. I forgot to consider the starboard engine was taken out for maintenance.
Cheap as Chips, & a nice little boat to boot, looks like fun fun fun!.
Absolutely gorgeous cockpit. No wet bar but, beautiful upholstery.
Hi Great little boat, Whats the typical range for this one, it's got me interested. Another great video.
A boat like this, usually about 200 miles at high speed, maybe double that or more at displacement speeds
The layout of this boat is very similar to my Bayliner, but the fittings are more modern and the cockpit space us better used on this boat. Would love to have my boat refit to look like this.

It really does look like it could be more like a 28. Love the slide back cockpit bench.
You have great content, with great presentation skills. I just bought a 20' Chapparal and that interest has brought me here. I also used to work on cruise ships and often found myself in Southampton and bunches of other ports in the UK.
Welcome aboard! 🙂
Welcome aboard! 🙂
Another brilliant video and what a surprising boat with a good use of space.
Great video Nick I enjoy the more affordable tours. However I’m still waiting on a submarine video tour. Well done as always.
Maybe one day!
Thanks for sliding the door Nick! Great vid as always 😀
Nick, in some of your videos, when going through the wheelhouse, I've seen a pair of round instruments hanging from the wall. They seem to be some kind of clock or compass encased in a stainless steel housing. Perhaps on your next video you could stop by and explain us what's the use of those.
Sounds like a clock and barometer set, a lot of boats have them
That’s a lot of boat for only 25’. And a great buy. Sure it needs some minor updates, but the cost to make those improvements will be far less than buying new.
Great tour as always and a great boat for the size which is wearing its age very well - some subtle upgrades I’d imagine!

The perfect weekender. Great review.
Perfect starter boat for me. I want one!
great vid as usual. might want to get the owners to change their password to what ever that label on the bulkhead was though. just a thought.
Another great insight..thanks nick ,keep up the good work⛵️⛵️⛴⛴🛥🛥
Thanks, will do!

There are two Numarine yachts on the channel 🙂

I know - winter's coming..!
Good for you in doing a tour of a more affordable boat. More of these if and when you can please 😁

They're actually Canadian I believe

Hi, Can you possibly do a video on which boats/yachts you would buy for every budget?
Just brilliant Nick Sir.. Wonderful boat.. Compact... And as always looking Dashing Nick Sir 😍
Think u should include what kettle ur wearing wen doing these videos!

Can you do one on a fairline targa 48 from the 2000s?
A nice boat in great condition.
Thanks Niick .. I enjoy seeing ones that i can afford as well as the ones i cant ;)
I’m officially done with second hand boats and inboard engines. Looking at a new merry fisher 895. Any good?
Fantastic little starter boat. And it was in great shape - things like the seating surfaces, the canopies and steering wheel all looked like they were replaced or lovingly restored. Thanks for showing us this one!
Glad you enjoyed it
Nick you have a job and a half, keep on going mate
More of this price range pls!
Thanks for the video nice little boat there!
Thanks for watching!
A lot of boat for the money, very nice 😃
Nice boat, good vid Nick.
Thanks
BZ very nice Nick - Garmin CHART! system, maps are for land LOL! Love it.
It is literally a Garmin GPSmap 556, that's the make and model! 😃
@@AQUAHOLIC I blame Garmin, go get them to change it LOL!
Great affordable boat. Might be a strange question, but it would be interesting to know the litres of fuel per hour figure at given speeds. Very informative video nonetheless.
Have a look at my 'How much does it cost to run a boat' video, there's a breakdown of fuel use at different speeds for a very similar boat there.
Wonderful boat, great video as always 👍👍
Glad you enjoyed it
