    10:29 this gap is realistic. The fuel tank is mounted with brackets which creates the space between hull and tank.
    The stowed searchlight seem‘s to be mounted correct🤓
    I‘m very impressed by the amount of parts and details since this is still a wargaming model. I personally almost exclusive build 35th scale kit‘s but if I someday come across this one here in Germany I will definitely give it a go! Will be a nice model to build in between and catch a breath.

    Awesome review and builds. The Centurion is a really cool tank.

    I bought a lot of Rubicon kits over the year the last being the Jagdpanther and Kettenkrad. I bought the STZ 3 and Dodge WC-51/52 kits which was released the same time as the Centurion to flesh out my Soviet Bolt Action forces.

    In some pictures I see the ridiculously big search light looks like a clear searchlight and in some it looks like an infrared light, which might be easier come painting time.

      I think I was told they had like a filter thing that went over the light for IR use. I might be imagining that though.
      That's a good thing to remember though.

    I love Rubicon's kits. They're a pleasure to build and they look so nice. The turret looks fantastic on this kit. Great build vid!
    Also...blade goes up, blade goes down, blade goes up, blade goes down. Very bladey!

    Herbert, I remember seeing that Rubicon announced a T54/55 kit, I'm intrigued when it be coming out. Would love to see you build before I get it 😂

      Rubicon have so many cool things in the works. It's almost frustrating the number of things they seem to be working on... I certainly plan to get that kit though.

    Nice tank, nice build. Thanks for pointing out the potential screwup points.
    Something that's been bugging me; is it just me, or does it seem that these smaller kits end up with more plastic left on the trees than goes into the models? Leftover sprue is great for scratch building but it strikes me as wasteful.

    • @HerbertErpaderp
      @HerbertErpaderp  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I like to think that if I screw something up, I can help others by pointing it out so it can be avoided.
      I agree that excess plastic seems wasteful, on the other hand, it's hard to offer different options without different parts being left over.

    It's possible to build it using gel superglue?

    • @HerbertErpaderp
      @HerbertErpaderp  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think you could. It might be kind of messy though and super glue bonds aren't super strong, so it'd probably shatter apart if you dropped it.

      @@HerbertErpaderp ty for ur reply. I wonder what type of cement glue u use, and also if when using a cement glue like the tamiya extra thin cement if u use any kind of masks or respirators to avoid the toxic fumes emanating from once the tap is open?

    For the first time I am quite sure that this kit won't end up being pink! 😉

    Normally Australian tanks were given names starting with squadron letter A.B.C.C Support I question pusseyeater being real but it could have been out there Tankies do push the envelope

    • @HerbertErpaderp
      @HerbertErpaderp  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I've seen pictures of Pussy Eater. But I think they're rare. It does strike me as quite an Aussie thing to just break from the regular naming scheme, she'll be right etc.

    hey herbert what glue do you use? i use the plastic magic but am interested what other glues work as they are ABS kits

    • @warthunder_The_scalemodeler_za
      @warthunder_The_scalemodeler_za 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I use Tamiya super thin, the orange glue, and normal. I also like the revell contacta, and Mr Hobby/ammo/ak/vallejo glue ranges.
      Pretty much each manufacturer has ups and downs, and it depends on what you are building, and the drying time you want, and consistency etc...

    • @undeadichi

      @@warthunder_The_scalemodeler_za yeah i use revell contacta but that doesnt work on rubicon abs plastic kits

      @@undeadichi maybe try tamiya, if its a similar plastic to the warhammer/bolt action stuff, it will work

    • @HerbertErpaderp
      @HerbertErpaderp  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Most recently I've been using SMS extra thin cement. It's quite good. It seems to evaporate a bit quicker than tamiya extra thin, and I had to cut the brush so it has the point mine does. But I like it.
      Tamiya extra thin is also good for ABS.
