@JoshtheRVNerd Yes!!! We might just be a standard ladder, solar, porcelain toilet, shower door, Hengs bathroom fan, and a comfortable seating "option" for an outdated 1950's diner dinette from agreeing on almost everything👍😂👍
I like it when you do your videos starting at the main entrance door. Like a house, the view/effect of the first walk into the living space always seems to work for me. With that said, do the videos as it works for you. I appreciate how you do it!
As a single guy, this is the toy hauler that I've been waiting for. Under 40' in length, 11' garage (for my Polaris GeneralXP or my motorcycle), nice separated living room and kitchen. I don't use enough dishes to warrant a dishwasher. I would get it with the queen bed and no ½ bath in the garage. I would get the washer drier when I retire and go full time in 3 years. There is plenty of water for boon docking. It's got the generator, but I'd probably still upgrade the solar in the future. About the only thing that I would want is a blackstone grill and small refrigerator on the outside to go with that outsideTV. All in all, it is a good fit for me.
Toy hauler that doesn't feel like a toy hauler inside. That is what I call these. Its great to see. Not sure I like the modular sofa thing, but I get the purpose and it looks great setup. Honestly set and forget. If you move around a ton it might be a pain, but for most people it doesn't matter.
This is a nice RV. I never considered anyone but Brinkley for a toy hauler. The dinesk (love that word) is just what I'm looking for in model. The garage/patio is ok, love the closed in loft and the washer/dryer option. I prefer that over the half-bath. Not too sure about playing legos with the sofa, though. Other than that, and the missing dishwasher, this brand has my attention. Can't wait to see the update video 🤩

Cool storage in this camper. I've never had a dishwasher so wouldn't miss one. I don't like the 2 doors in the bathroom. I don't know why they're calling it a Jack and Jill as that's a private bathroom shared just between 2 bedrooms, in the middle of them. Pretty good amount of bedroom storage! If there wasn't the bathroom door there then there'd be plenty of wall space for a tv. I'd like the half bath in the garage. That loft is a great hiding space, especially if you pull that ladder up behind you 😂 I really like how flexible this camper is, even with defined living spaces.
The 11ft garage with no half bath is great for stuffing all your toys in a small garage. I think its worth it to have the added space. I love this layout but I wish GD or Brinkley would come out with luxury small (under 36') 5er toy haulers (similar to 325G) Some of the best places to camp are tight spaces where these big 5ers just can't go.
Hey Josh, thanks for showing a toyhauler. It's the floorplan that I'm looking at. One of my concerns (and I ask GD) is the pin/hitch weight (GD told me that this floorplan as an average of 3700 lbs). It's funny their smallest in length fiftwheel toyhauler (40') but it as the heaviest pin weight. Not even sure if a crew Cab f450 4x4 would have the payload for it. Continue your excellent work
I like this quite a bit, the pull out pantry is such a big deal, I really wish that would become more standard so that I don’t have to either awkwardly reach over a bunch of stuff in the front or pull a bunch of stuff out to be able to reach the stuff in the back and actually use the full space. I really hope they do get rid of the double entry for the bath, it just feels so needless and this one is pretty decent but it could still be better without that door even if they didn’t change anything else if do no reason other than giving you a better tv location in the bedroom. On the topic of that bedroom I hate the king bed, I hate all king beds in RVs personally because you just really don’t need that much bed even for two people, hell I’ve had 3 people in a residential queen bed plenty of times and it was tight but nobody was up all night about it. I’d just so much rather have more nightstand space and especially in this one actually be able to scooch up the right side of that bed if not just walk along the side. The king bed trend and even the Olympic queen beds just feel wasteful in my book
No dishwasher, if you need one, stay home, this is camping. Yes, light under the side closet to sofa. I prefer the sofa without the recliner or make the end set a recliner. Love this setup, BUT what is tge fascination with everything being prison gray. It's cold and I think soap on a rope should come standard whenever they do prison gray.
I really dont like all that hitch weight especially considering it is a small garage and you can really only fit a smaller sxs or mororcycles. I wonder how much hitch weight you get to with no toys and full water? Like for someone using the back as bunk house for teens. I think it has the smallest garage in this line with the highest pin weight.
I respect the sentiment. I would ask people who note that I don’t “curate” my comments section to have only flowery positive stuff. I appreciate you sharing how you feel
Starting outside, in side and from the rear to the front ending on the roof, please. Shame on them to have such low cost, problematic bedroom slide on such and expensive rv. Could you show the pluming connecting to appliances eg toilet etc if they have or how far is the shut off valve when that plastic connecting gives? Love the 'L' shape sofa and the north south king bed, if there is any room to fit my kitchen legs to wrap my bed sheet around that far mattress corner is good enough for me. Yes, get rid of the outside side entertainment especially since the outside patio at the rear is available.
Ditch the o/s TV, Color leds for lighting? Only if its a disco, kitchen pantry shelves are minimal and NOT adjustable! WTH is that living room.. got to be the worst GD toy hauler I've seen. Thx for the detailed review Josh. ❤
It's a good looking unit, but I'm still having some trust issues with Grand Design. Hard to earn, easy to lose. I'm sure it'll be back for me eventually, just not today and not on this unit.
I too understand but after extensive research I bought a 415G anyways. Certain models like this unit & the 415G use the newer Rhinobox Space Saver frame and is 40% stronger and noticeable built heavier duty.

3.) call for help
@FindingOurSomeday your Reflection is shown at the 8:20 ish…
Duel bathroom doors are so useless. Wasted storage opportunities. Without that duel door in the bathroom would give better space for tv.
I personally prefer single entry bathroom as well
BWAHAHAHAHA, Ned Flanders! LMAOROFL
😊
Love this setup, BUT what is tge fascination with everything being prison gray. It's cold and I think soap on a rope should come standard whenever they do prison gray.
That soap tho
I would sacrifice the tv for beter walking in the living room, or better yet, a better desk/table setup. Otherwise nice unit.
Awesome Ty Robin
A Jack and Jill is when the bathroom is shared between 2 bedrooms. I wouldn't call that a J&J bathroom.
Ty. Wasn’t familiar with the terminology
Roxann 😂
😆
I really dont like all that hitch weight especially considering it is a small garage and you can really only fit a smaller sxs or mororcycles. I wonder how much hitch weight you get to with no toys and full water? Like for someone using the back as bunk house for teens. I think it has the smallest garage in this line with the highest pin weight.
Ditch the outdoor TV. People with toy haulers have them to do outside things.
Sorry, it's Grand design, if I wanted no warranty, I would buy used
I respect the sentiment. I would ask people who note that I don’t “curate” my comments section to have only flowery positive stuff. I appreciate you sharing how you feel
The deal breaker is the bathroom, I would rather a bathroom like the cougars or others with one door and the toilet, not in the middle of it.
I’m trying to touch on plumbing stuff more when I can see it. Often it’s not really visible

When you can it would be greatly appreciated
The cargo capacity is abysmal for a toy hauler… under 3k? Wow
A large family can add that if full time, which leaves no room for any sort of toy.
Ditch the o/s TV, Color leds for lighting? Only if its a disco, kitchen pantry shelves are minimal and NOT adjustable! WTH is that living room.. got to be the worst GD toy hauler I've seen. Thx for the detailed review Josh. ❤
You could totally disco the lights lol
❤❤❤
Start on the balcony and come inside
Ty
I wish they would stop putting a window behind the stove
It's a good looking unit, but I'm still having some trust issues with Grand Design. Hard to earn, easy to lose. I'm sure it'll be back for me eventually, just not today and not on this unit.
I can respect it. I would say “keep an eye on them for a year or two and see how you feel then.” Fair?
I too understand but after extensive research I bought a 415G anyways. Certain models like this unit & the 415G use the newer Rhinobox Space Saver frame and is 40% stronger and noticeable built heavier duty.
Can this info about a beefier frame be found online anywhere? Thanks!
@@dchapin2353 yes. An interview video from BTBRV of a Lippert engineer that spoke about the development, testing, and higher strength of the Rhinobox frame design. Comment section won't let me link it. You'll have to find it yourself.
Well, too small of a kitchen. 6,000 watt generator too small. Your right no power outlets.
Too small? 6,000w IS 50 AMP! It is a 50amp unit.
What's that you say Josh, R&D.... ripoff and duplicate? :) :) :)
Rv r&d baby
