Whenever the subject of atheists in universes with known divine intervention comes up, my mind instantly goes to Sanya from The Dresden Files series. Sanya is one of three Knights of the Cross, paladins entrusted with swords fused with nails used during Jesus's crucifixion, each of which can easily cleave anything evil in half. Sanya himself is either an atheist or agnostic. When confronted about this, he says that, while a literal angel DID hand him his sword, he's not 100% sure that angels and gods are actually holy things and might just be super powered otherworldly beings...or possibly aliens.

The disociative disorder makes so many good moments, like when he got beaten up by a villain and have a discussion with the god personality and then go full punisher on the villain in the second night claiming he doesent need Konshu's powers(but still wears his costume) or that other time where one of his personalities got one old lover pregnant without his knowlodge and then he got a 5 year old daughter in the middle of a case...
My favourite event that happened in a comic was when someone was chatting shit and he rolled with it Guy: "Careful man I hear moonknight attacks with all sorts of random bullshit" MoonKnight: "RANDOM BULLSHIT GO!"
All through this I was thinking "is this the guy from the 'Random bullshit, go!' meme? I think this is the guy from that meme" then it never got mentioned so I started questioning myself
Just a quick thing: I have a friend with DID, and according to them, the DID was portrayed really realistic. There are several people in their group that couldn’t watch the show because they kept dissociating. So I appreciate that Disney did their research unlike some of the other media that had DID as a plot point.
I watched moonknight with my friend who also has DID and they also found it to be quite realistic, there was a few things they got annoyed about like Marc and Steven being able to see each other in mirrors and both of them looking exactly the same but overall it was great representation
So the reason Batman has the yellow is so that it’s all people see if they spot him it’s the most heavily armored part of his suit. He wants you to shoot there.
"I'm moon knight, you lunatic, anyway, got any shrooms?" Seriously, I love moon knight for this kinda crazy shit, there's actually videos are dubs of his crazy stuff lol
The thing that concerns me about comic universes : Khonsu exists. Thor and Loki exist. Dr. Strange and Scarlet Witch exist. If Thor is right, and magic is just high level tech, why does no one research magic tech? Why has no one said, "Ok, let's rebuild the Bifrost."
Because the Bifrost was built by this one nerd Asgardian who died in a war a thousand years ago, but he left no notes, and no one has been able to figure out how he did it. That's my theory anyway. Kinda like how we still don't know how Tesla did some of the shit he did.
For the record, while he does talk mad shit like the time he asked Frank Castle how his dead family was, the thing with him and Dracula is not actually real. Those were memes made to fool people. The thing is almost all of those examples could be real panels because of the shit he talks.
especially considering he does shit like beat up a bunch of punk ghosts using a bone suit, in a series where he has a running joke of just fucking loathing ghosts.
Another important thing to know about when he asked how Frank's family was, is that his family is ALSO dead and even had one of them killed by Frank himself.
@@dolier2802 the fun thing is, many of the Moon Knight meme compilations, include unedited comic panels as well. It throws everyone off, new fans and old.

My favourite Moon Knight panel is the: Etherial voice without body "PERSONwhoWANTStoBEimbuedWITHmoonPOWERSsaysWHAT" Mark Spector "wait...What"? Etherial voice without body "Okay thanks, see you when you wake up"
Younger pre-teen me in the 90s often used to confuse Moon Knight and Sleepwalker. It also doesn't help that Image Comics' Shadowhawk was also rising in popularity around that time and added to that confusion.
I'm so damn excited for the show coming out. Moon Knight is such a fun character. One of my favorite Moon Knight moments from the comics was one time in the books in trying to prove that a guy who's working for him is legit, dressed up as Bullseye and started beating the shit out of this dude. Once he figured that it was Moon Knight beating him up and not Bullseye, Moon stops and pretty much just goes "YEAH YOU GOT ME IT WAS ME! Alright you're cool, you can work with me" Also because in that run, his voices in his head are Steve Rogers, Spiderman and Wolverine, he gets that dude to make him basically at home versions of Cap's shield, Wolverine's claws and Spidey's Web shooters pretty much because they are cool as hell
Moon Knight basically also did The Raid all by himself with just a few little moon discs and a metal stick. One of the coolest fight sequences in comics.
Okay, I'm old. And maybe Marvel evolves. But way back... Moon Knight, first appearance as a "Werewolf By Night" antagonist. Got his own comic, floundered a bit, then it made Bill Sienkiewicz reputation as his art style(s) evolved tremendously during his run on the title. And during that period Moon Knight had multiple personality disorder - or at least multiple secret identities, as Moon Knight, as a Bruce Wayne style wealthy socialite, as a mercenary and as a cab driver. Also he rode around in a flying moon vehicle sort of like Blue Beetle's bug, which was chauffeured by his butler "Frenchie". Not certain but I think Moon Knight was a direct sales only title for a while in the '80s.
I can’t remember which comic it was in but I remember reading a short conversation between Moon Knight and The Sentry as they discussed both their mental issues. Sentry is an agoraphobe if I remember correctly and it was just a nice little chat about how they are keeping up with their therapists. Was just nice to see.
Moon knight is the epitome of poising through other attacks. He’s like oh that a sword nice, here is my fist, it will now reside under your chin, at Mach 1
Moon Knight by Lemire & Smallwood is one of my favorite comics ever, it’s so interesting to go through a Moonknight character study. I’m so hyped for the new show since a lot of the show seems to be based on that run. Nice video! I always find these videos enjoyable. Especially this one about Looney Mooney haha
One thing I want to point out is Dissasociative Identity Disorder is caused by childhood trauma and can't be treated with medication. Therapy can help merge personalities (commonly known as alters) if desired but many systems (people with D.I.D.) either choose to function as a multiple or can't afford therapy.
If the moon god is Egyptian, odds are they are both male and female. Egyptian gods tended to take male and female forms, though most are generally depicted as one gender of the other. Egyptian mythology is fascinating, and I wish it was used more in Hollywood (and before you mention Gods of Egypt, I meant used WELL!!)
At least Gods of Egypt used actual egyptian gods while Moon Knight just made one up lol. Hollywood has been using mummies and egyptian mythology since the 30s so I don't know what you mean by not using egypt enough. None of them are good but there's still many of them. What do you mean by gods being both male and female? My egyptian mythology is pretty rusty so I don't remember much but that sounds interesting. Could you tell more?
@@HotDogTimeMachine385 Egyptian mythology gets used, sure, but not to the same extent as Greek or Norse, at least not in the West. The only BIG franchise based on Egyptian culture is the Mummy, and that's not really based on mythology in the same way something like God of War or Thor is. As for gods being both male and female, Egypt's mythology was very fluid. Head gods changed a lot, and they have a lot of myths that function like cycles, probably because Egyptian culture and survival revolved around the Nile, so yearly cycles were very important to them. The Journey of Ra is about the journey of the Sun God every single day and night. That kind of thing. So gods could be depicted as one gender or the other, but they usually had one gender they were depicted as more often than not.
How did you forget to mention that he left Taskmaster crying on the floor in a fetal position (possibly while peeing himself) afraid that Moon Knight was going to carve his face off like he did to Bushman! 🌙💀
Obscure Moon Knight fact: Marc Spector is descended from a hidden race called the Hellbent. What are the Hellbent? Just imagine Clive Barker's Nightbreed transplanted into the Marvel Universe and you've pretty much got it.
Look at him assuming moon knight won’t be that good. Help me I’m so emotionally attached. Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee, my name is Steven with a V. Help…..me…….
In the same way that Khonshu at one point was suspected to be just a part of Moon Knight's madness, I've seen his super strength being explained as just him using hysterical strength (aka your body going 100% capacity not caring about how it damages the muscles) and simply letting his body get fucked up by it (much like how he "would rather take a punch than block it")
I've liked moon knight for years and I'm really happy to see him getting recognition, for anyone interested he shows up in an episode of avengers assemble-secret wars, the episode has a villain called beyonder in it, I would be more specific but I can't find it on youtube anymore. anyway moon knights really cool in that episode if anyone fancies searching it up to watch.

I discovered moon knight on a spiderman game, I thought he was the most awesome character in existance, imagine my surprise reading his actual comics, though I started to like him even more after
Some caveats that were missed in here, the “is [Khonshu] going after someone who’s mentally ill?” Yes. Khonshu actively went after Marc because his mind would be easier to control. His multiple personalities are also not really a power, as they don’t really give him an edge, and he does actively receive therapeutic help in a lot of his comic runs.
All I know about Moon Knight is that he likes Ketamine and is searching for Dracula, that big fucking nerd, who owes him money. He doesn't remember how much but "a man's gotta have a code" Also a line that stuck with me "Forget if a god can bleed, can a god simp?"

My favourite event that happened in a comic was when someone was chatting shit and he rolled with it
Guy: "Careful man I hear moonknight attacks with all sorts of random bullshit"
MoonKnight: "RANDOM BULLSHIT GO!"
All through this I was thinking "is this the guy from the 'Random bullshit, go!' meme? I think this is the guy from that meme" then it never got mentioned so I started questioning myself
Unfortunately, "Random Bullshit Go!" Is a meme. A very very good meme. Seriously, go see Moon Knight-Core's stuff.
Never happened
@@dolier2802 can't stop me from wishing it would though
Moon knight is a crazy good read and heavy on the crazy. The multiple personalities and the supernatural element interplay gives some wild stories
Thanks glad you’re a fan of me
Just a quick thing: I have a friend with DID, and according to them, the DID was portrayed really realistic.
Did you guys know there's an amalgam universe where Nightwing and Moon Knight combined to make MoonWing. Pretty much just Moon Knight in black though.
Not naming the combination Nightknight was the cowards way.
"Are you ready, for some fucking band names?" Makes me smile every time you say that little tree. Make it a T-shirt!
Taskmaster HATES copying Moon Knight's fighting style as he'd rather eat a punch than try to block or dodge.
So the reason Batman has the yellow is so that it’s all people see if they spot him it’s the most heavily armored part of his suit. He wants you to shoot there.
Arkham Knight even straight-up states that in one of the first encounters with him
And yet his face is completely visible.
That’s one of the first things mention in the video lol
@@John-Doe-Yo no they said he doesn’t want to be seen
@@shadowanderson2004 yes but they also said that the symbol was meant to draw fire for the same reason you mentioned similar to the punisher
"I'm moon knight, you lunatic, anyway, got any shrooms?" Seriously, I love moon knight for this kinda crazy shit, there's actually videos are dubs of his crazy stuff lol
"Random bullshit! GO!!!"
Those aren’t real panels but if you wanna see moon knight talk shit google the time he asked punisher how his dead family was.
I guess you don't love Moon Knight that much because he nearly never says anything like that
Yeah a lot of the stuff that's been memed from Moon Knight are actually edits of his comics and not actually the comics themselves
@@dolier2802 fake fans
The thing that concerns me about comic universes : Khonsu exists. Thor and Loki exist. Dr. Strange and Scarlet Witch exist. If Thor is right, and magic is just high level tech, why does no one research magic tech? Why has no one said, "Ok, let's rebuild the Bifrost."
Because the Bifrost was built by this one nerd Asgardian who died in a war a thousand years ago, but he left no notes, and no one has been able to figure out how he did it. That's my theory anyway. Kinda like how we still don't know how Tesla did some of the shit he did.
@@eshbena I really like your theory xD
yes. the only character i've seen that combines magic and tech in comics is doctor doom.
yeah but the difference is that oscar isaac is a damn good actor
For the record, while he does talk mad shit like the time he asked Frank Castle how his dead family was, the thing with him and Dracula is not actually real. Those were memes made to fool people. The thing is almost all of those examples could be real panels because of the shit he talks.
especially considering he does shit like beat up a bunch of punk ghosts using a bone suit, in a series where he has a running joke of just fucking loathing ghosts.
Another important thing to know about when he asked how Frank's family was, is that his family is ALSO dead and even had one of them killed by Frank himself.
Makes it real easy to spot people who say they read Moon Knight but actually don't
Moon knight is also the same dude who wore a Spiderman costume overtop his own Moon knight costume and went into a strip club to beat up some thugs
@@dolier2802 the fun thing is, many of the Moon Knight meme compilations, include unedited comic panels as well. It throws everyone off, new fans and old.
Spidey - I gotta ask, did you dress up as me and beat up a strip club?
Moon knight - little bit
Spidey - uh why?
Moon knight - I’m working on some new techniques
Spidey - new techniques that involve dressing up as me and beating up strippers?
Spidermoon, spidermoon, rips your face off and gets confused
My favourite Moon Knight panel is the:
Etherial voice without body "PERSONwhoWANTStoBEimbuedWITHmoonPOWERSsaysWHAT"
Mark Spector "wait...What"?
Etherial voice without body "Okay thanks, see you when you wake up"
He even had a mind war, and the many personalities teamed up and kill off the Marc Specter personality or awhile
I had basic knowledge of MK before the show and as soon as the trailer came out I knew that he would be one of my favourites
Happy birthday Lucas! I really hope Moon Knight ends up being a good show.
@6:38
Karl - "I do have a hunger"
Me - "Please say for faces"
Moon Knight basically also did The Raid all by himself with just a few little moon discs and a metal stick. One of the coolest fight sequences in comics.
The original Marvel hallway fight. And it has more than a few similarities to the Daredevil show's hallway fight, too.
I still have those issues. Cause I'm old too. :)
1:23 now THAT is an awesome quote
I love Moon Knight, the show was incredible and his suit is fucking badass
5:16 They know that Jesus was not a mutant because everyone knows that Jesus was actually a Stand user.
I’ve never looked into moon knight too much but from bits I’ve heard he’s pretty interesting. Also has a dope outfit
my favorite interaction in comics.
punisher: hows your fake moon god?
moon knight: good, hows your dead wife and kid?
I’ve waited SO LONG for a moon knight video from Karl, it’s crazy how you get what you want when you don’t badger the creators
Ive waited 20 years. For Moon Knight to get ANY shred of light in the public stratosphere.
12:30 Moon Spiderman? Come on, Spidermoon is RIGHT THERE!
Moon knight is the epitome of poising through other attacks. He’s like oh that a sword nice, here is my fist, it will now reside under your chin, at Mach 1
Moon Knight suffers from.... Lunacy.
Glad I’m your favorite!!
06:00 I am both annoyed and really really impressed by that spot on prediction.
The Phoenix Force is like a STI,

Wait, the thing where Dracula owes moonknight money wasn't just a meme?

How did you forget to mention that he left Taskmaster crying on the floor in a fetal position (possibly while peeing himself) afraid that Moon Knight was going to carve his face off like he did to Bushman! 🌙💀
I can imagine Moon Knights mother calling him Moon Pie.
Obscure Moon Knight fact: Marc Spector is descended from a hidden race called the Hellbent. What are the Hellbent? Just imagine Clive Barker's Nightbreed transplanted into the Marvel Universe and you've pretty much got it.
THANK YOU LUCAS! I been dieing for moonknight
I've been collecting the og moon night run, I'm only 2 comics away from having 1-15

2) "random bullshit go!" meme
Look at him assuming moon knight won’t be that good.
Help me I’m so emotionally attached.
Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee, my name is Steven with a V.
Help…..me…….
Their prediction for the moonknight was mostly accurate
The misquoted Moon Knight comics are the absolute best.
Some how you nailed it, at 12min in. I’m pretty sure in 2ep of Moon Knight the main villain so far says the same thing to Steven.
Fr, I’ve been asking for a moon knight episode for a few years now.
Okay, just got to say it . . . the Spider-man Mook Knight fusion should've been called Luna-tick.
Unfortunately, the panel of MK calling Dracula a Nerd is an edited panel by Moon Knight-Core. They're also responsible for "Random Bullshit Go!" And anything with MK referencing ketamine. I highly recommend their page! They do really good work!
Yes! I've been waiting a long time for this channel to tackle MK!
I can’t get over how goofy the fight scene is in episode two when he’s fighting an invisible dog.

Well… he’s not wrong
Moon Knight after carving the crescent on someone's forehead: "You know how you get to Carnegie Hall? Practice, practice, practice."
Jesus was confirmed as of recently to be a mutant 😂😂😂😂
The Phoenix Force is the village bicycle of Marvel...
All I know about Moon Knight is that he likes Ketamine and is searching for Dracula, that big fucking nerd, who owes him money. He doesn't remember how much but "a man's gotta have a code"
Also a line that stuck with me "Forget if a god can bleed, can a god simp?"
rewatching this after the tv show, hope folks enjoyed it, don't particularly remember it other than genuinely enjoying isaac's portrayal. (and being one of several shows I'm looking forward to sharing with my lass when we finally move in together).

Spider-Moon! Come on!
One thing I like about it is that even without the DID, he’s still a fucking lunatic, that’s just Marc Spector, the other personalities have nothing to do with the crazy shit he does
missed the best part of moon knight, Moon knight comics leave it ambiguous as to weather he is insane and imagining it all or it's all true/a bit of both. yeah he beat a psychic but the psychic either got god snapped or the psychic got lost in his mental illness. stuff like that
That hasn't really been the case for a couple of years now, even since the current Avengers run Khonshu has basically been confirmed to be real considering that he became a foe that the Avengers had to beat and now Moon Knight is his own vigilante who is not guided by Khonshu
