Thank u so much sir. I just want to point out that the last point in problem of functioning has been removed by SC in 2014, now, there is no provision of taking the consent of central govt. before investigation. So, it's not a problem anymore.

But sir said that cbi has statutory status under delhi special police establishment act.
CBI is not a statutory body, it derives its powers from the Delhi Special Police Establishment Act, 1946 - Laxmikant
