Messages like this remind me that my passion and efforts are not in vain and inspires me to keep going! Congratulations again! May you continue to fall in love with OT more and more with each passing year!
Thank you so much, Miri! You are such a beautiful person, inside and out! You've gotten me through my exam and am now refreshing with your videos before my first day of work tomorrow (ahhhh). Once again, thank you!!
aww thank you so much for this lovely message Kristin. I hope you had a great day on your first day. Please stay safe out there and take good care. Sending love your way~
Thank you so much for this video. I had an acquired brain injury 2010 at the age of fifteen (ruptured AVM) and I lost my ability to speak completely but could understand what everyone around me was saying which I now know is Broca's Aphasia and you're right - it IS frustrating not being able to properly communicate, speaking from personal experience. I have since gone on to earn a B.A. in English but found that my true calling is OT. I will be taking my NBCOT COTA exam in August and your videos have been very helpful.
Thank you for opening up to me and sharing a little more about yourself and your experiences. I'm so happy to know that our shared journey has brought us here together and I hope you'll stay in touch through the different stages of your OT journey.
@@MiriLee No problem! I will definitely keep in touch throughout this process. I have no doubt that I'll be able to pass the exam the first time but I am very much a visual learner so your videos are a great help.

Do you plan on teaching at a university in the future?
Another way that I remeber the difference between Broca's and Wernicke's aphasia is by associating Broca with the Spanish word "Boca" meaning mouth. In my head I think we express ourselves with our mouth therefore "expressive aphasia." Hope that helps someone out there!
Miri, I just found out today that I passed my test!!!!! I went in there with confidence like you said I should and I passed. I owe it all to you. Thank you so much for believing in me, motivating me, and teaching/ helping me study. You're the best.
