Living close to the sea I’m sure would be nice, but a 2 bedroom medium size home closer to local community in between Grand Baie, & Flic en Flac be equally as comforting.
Nice video: I'm preparing to move to Mauritius in May 2021, I am a self employed and I work from home, income tax in Mauritius is 15%, that's good because where I live now the tax rate is 39%, also Mauritius is the country of my dreams. ..but then I realised that Dubai does not require income tax from it's residents....as a self employed, the only way to get the resident Visa is by purchasing a property(house) or create a company and then you'll get a visa with renewal option in every 3 years.... so I opted to open a company in Dubai in order to get the resident Visa and work there and no paying tax. .... but I am thinking how it would be because I love Mauritius so much and prepared my mind to move to Mauritius for so long that now I don't feel well. .. probably I'll be travelling there every month, Dubai income tax is zero, I have to take this advantage 😂😂😂😂😂😂😅😅😅😅
Living in Mauritius is a dream for some people. In coming years life will be more beautiful there I hope. Furthermore,Economy is booming and incoming few years we hope that to settle there will be dream for people of developing countries. So far the cultural differences is concerned country is full of Indians, so, for Indians life will be easy.
Mauritius is overcrowded + a bit boring in my opinion, everything shuts down at 5pm, very tiny + not that safe anymore, there's a big drug addiction problem on the island + don't forget rainy and hurricane season, it's not sunny all year round.. I still love my island but after 3 week holidays, that's enough
@@LexxLarsD I only go back every year or so to visit family. I guess I'm biased coming from big cities like London and Paris. If you are from a fast paced area it will be difficult to adjust, a lot of areas become very quiet after 6 pm unless you can afford expensive tourist areas in the North near Grand Baie. In terms of amenities you have plenty of shopping malls, supermarkets, local markets which is nice, street food everywhere. Mauritian people are very friendly and helpful but the island seems very overcrowded to me, in some places it can feel like a mini version of India. Maybe I exaggerated, you won't come across any safety problems at all, it's just to be aware that there can be drug problems mostly in poorer inlands area, and a good thing is that most people can speak decent English and in terms of infrastructures for a tiny country Mauritius is not doing so bad. I hope it helps, let me know if have more questions
Lexx. Stephanie is voicing her opinion. She is talking nonsense. So what if parts of Mauritius feels like little India? If Indian people are there what do you expect? Little Europe?
@@dr.ashvin.s.soobagrah6996 Stephane... Which nonsense, where did I criticise the fact that Mauritius seem like little India, its a fact not a critic. I only mentioned that to draw a similarity in terms of feel or vibe culturally speaking, everyone knows India and can picture it in his or her mind. We can all agree that as an island Mauritius is culturally remote to Barbados or Jamaica for instance, not the same population. And yes Mauritius has one of the highest population density in the world, another fact
What kind of total annual property or other taxes would a non-citizen expect to pay to hold a USD $1 million detached home in Mauritius that is not rented? I'm looking for a ball park figure, not an exact figure. Thank you.
So the question on everyone's mind is WHAT DOES THAT PROPERTY COST to buy or rent? Why the need to email? Is it so high that you're ashamed to write it?
My family is from mauritius and property is a lot cheaper than places like UK and USA. However the houses are not that nice unless u get one just built wich I can assume is more expensive than the standard mauritian house but still cheaper than most countries
@@Rizwaan. It's probably like some of those places in Grand Baie renting for 100,000 rupees/month.. :-D But hey, it's all cheap compared to London and New York.
