bring disco music back again...
It’s a Sheila cover ! A French singer ! Great job Sophie ! It’s amazing version
Sophie is the most beautiful woman in the universe !
Kylie, Madonna, Sophie...your disco needs you....🕺🕺🕺
There's not a single song Sophie Ellis-Bextor can't do justice to. Perfect voice, perfect pitch, I've been lucky enough to meet Sophie, such a lovely, genuine person with a dirty laugh. I call her the Duchess of Dance and Disco. Blinding cover.
Sheila & B Devotion - Spacer 1979
My dream is to have a Sophie ellis Bextor and Dido song together. They would make a banging song for sure =).
she, her, deserves this cover version, and makes it her OWN...Spacer
Orginal song « Sheila Spacer » by Bernard Edouards and Nile Rodgers(Chic)
Just to clarify - this is a cover of the hit by Alcazar (2001). Both that and this version heavily feature a sample from 'Spacer' by Sheila (of Sheila & B Devotion) written by Rodgers & Edwards, released in 1979.
Exactly. It's a sample. And put to a very good use.
Nothing more than karaoke.
@@blagger116 What a lot of rubbish This is plagiarism!
@@jmlecouedic
That’s a strange attitude to adopt. It’s a cover version like thousands of others in the history of popular music. And it uses a sample like countless songs have since that technology was invented. Plagiarism suggests something underhanded and devious but the composers of both the original version and the sampled song are credited as songwriters here and receive the appropriate royalties so I don’t see what the problem is.
I heard her on BBC Radio 2 and I really like this. I was decorating my flat and this came on many times. Yes we know it is Alcazar, but actually this one is better.
Sophie is the whole package. With a wonderful voice, with so much talent and charm, beauty. She really feels the music. Simply perfection.
whatever you are smoking, I hope it is illegal.
@@jakemasterson6057 do me a favor and shut the hell up
one really bad tattoo though

My favorite track from the Kitchen Disco!
Nothing like a bit of Bextor, to take you back, she has a great voice & the British Kylie!
I saw Sophie in Chiswick once with her family; I was with my boyf and my dog and she gave us a wink. She seemed lovely.
Always a delight to discover great music from you 😊
Love from France 💜
@3:13 pay attention to that half tone pitched down and up... Sophie is the Queen.

It's really hard to best The original Kitchen Disco version, but this one does get pretty close. Well done, madam Sophie!

A very nice remake! A bop! This song really suits her voice.
It truly does!

Sophie absolutely smashes this remake well done !!
sis just saved the pop culture.
what a true legend.
I remember when she sang it at GAY in London almost 10 years ago, glad to find an outstanding studio version. Welcome back to your disco world Sophie!
Thank You!!!❤😍💋✨
Just pre-ordered my pink vinyl copy of this on her website. My record collection has been lacking in Sophie's music for some time so itll be nice to rectify that fact. Also this track, phenomenal.
One of the best concerts I ever saw. Sophie at Gorilla Manchester. This is a great track x

Amo a Sophie pero me super emperra que vino a México a grabar 3 vídeos musicales y ni un pinche show nos dio... traigo un coraje atorado desde el 2014 :'(
Hmm Time to listen to heaps of her songs now for like a marathon 💪
What an epic combo
So beautiful😥😥
The queen of the dance floor
Your voice is so distinctive Sophie. 👏👏👏
🕺🏻🕺🏻🕺🏻🕺🏻🕺🏻🕺🏻🕺🏻🕺🏻🕺🏻🕺🏻🕺🏻🙌
yes !!! good sound bravo from France
Everybody talk about the vocal similarities on both Minogue Sisters, but I must say that Dannii is a fine "gourmet" version of Kylie's voice. Her voice is deeper and her style was always on point.
Who has not seen someone crying at the disco?
Love this song!
FABULOUS!
The original was good but Mrs. Ellis-Bextor adds a nice touch with her vocals and makes it even better. Great production as well. It's gonna be on repeat on my music equipment for a while!
i like the piano on this
These kitchen discos saved part of my sanity. Love from California
So happy you're back
Perfection...I can't wait for the album on vinyl
Wow wow
I love sophie... You're the best ever
Love it!!!
The princess of pop is back!
I remember this song from Alcazar in 2001
Very good
And Spacer was the original song back in the 70's/80's before Alcazar sampled and covered it. It like both versions, yet to decide on SEB rendition.
@@jonathandahl3431 Yes, Spacer by Sheila B.Devotion in the late 70's or early 80's
@@jonathandahl3431 Like Alcazar did on 'Crying at the disotheque', Kylie Minogue also sampled 'Spacer' by Sheila B Devotion on her song 'On the up' which is an unreleased song from her 2003 album 'Body Language'
Spacer kicked off a decade of unforgettable pop songs
That's it Sophie :)
So good 😍
Thank you for saving us from boredom
Sophie on t'aime !!!!!!!!!!
