Thank you so much for this video. Samplers, quilts and band boxes! My favorites. I was so excited when I saw this video. Thank you so much for sharing with us!!!
I know! I went wild and it was almost embarrassing because the guide came over and asked me a bunch of questions. She hadn’t met anyone who knew what a band box was!
@@AnneClay People lead sheltered lives. When my daughter was 3 we visited Colonial Williamsburg. Walking thru the governors palace my daughter yelled “there’s a chipmunk chair”! The guide asked her what a chipmunk chair was. Chippendale of course! You learn by being around it…..
Anne thank you for telling us about the band boxes!!!! You are really showcasing these items and I love how you take time to tell us their story. I can't help but think of sweet Alice....... I know she will love watching this video as well. You know what we love!!!!
Oh my !!! Thank you Anne for this wonderful video !! It’s so wonderful to see all of those Hannah Davis boxes !! ❤❤❤ Maybe you can do a video of Linsey woolsey quilts one of my favorite things ❤
Band Boxes, we watched Alice during an ask Alice, and she introduced us to Hannah Davis. Later I watched another prim utube and she showed band boxes. I commented with the info about Hannah. Well done, Shelbourne for such a wonderful collection of cottage industry items that have been preserved. Anne, you promised to take us to many wonderful places this summer and you have not disappointed. Well done, Anne.

This has been an entertaining and informative series of videos. I have not visited Shelburne Museum but have collected many of this items. Thank you.

Oh hoe lovely. Thank you so much Anne for being generous enough to take us along.
The museum has them all, no wonder it's hard to find Hannah's !!! However I know a lady that has one!
Very nice !!!
I started collecting band boxes last year. I only have 6, but they can be very pricey, and hard to find. This was a great video. Thanks!
Good job....
I saw that you were going to work on bar closet but I never saw results. Are you still working on it?
We were working on a bar in the barn but it stalled for a while. We’re a house of unfinished products.
