I agree, I loves the original as a kid and was all too willing to overlook some of the annoying aspects of it, this was just a joy to play, and I didn't mind the destination cursor, there were still benefits to exploring outside where it told you the next objective was.
It's mindblowing to think that Kazakhstan was still known as "Kazakh SSR" when the Strider manga was written. Makes you think about how much the landscape of the world has changed in terms of geopolitics. Also, Strider has a very pro-freedom/anti-global-government message to it. And the OG Kazakh theme has always been one of muh faves. This rendish is spectacular!

It's nice to hear a remix of this song after so many years later. And I have to say I love this groovy rendition of this classic NES composition. Whoever composed this song did an outstanding job.
When I downloaded this game and heard this sound....I was taken like omg I love the remix version and mix up of both arcade and news game mixed......already a hard game yet simple and awesome play and sound track
Good job. There is a little hesitation between when the song ends and when you reset the song. But to most people the transition is smooth and you don't notice it.
like I said, most won't notice it. That's something I've learned to pick up on through experience and you did such a good job it does not affect my enjoyment.
@@darezzi97 maybe he meant to say Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night? It's pretty much what I consider Castlevania nowdays and it's a pretty good game on top of that. also all the Symphony of the night callbacks including Alucard's voice actor from that game.
@@LordBrimstone1 yes! This! Bloodstained was an amazing game that took a long time to beat and get everything and I still found myself wanting more. I'd been considering reinstalling it until I realised I'd never played Strider 2014.

This game made an amazing work in recreating the spirit of the NES game and make it even more "Metroidvania"... This song is legendary.
