8:50 In my experience task duration during planning rarely change. If there is a overallocated resource, MS Project, will automatically reschedule the tasks so that no resource is above 100% of utilization. Why do I have to do resource leveling manually? Is the demo using the current version? It doesn't look like.
For WBS Gantt-Chart, we allow our users to resource level manually because our users have many ways to task plan so it's quite difficult to have the feature that fits all. WBS Gantt-Chart does not support automatic task planning now. While this demo is for version 9.2, our current version is 9.14 so it is a bit different. We will take your feedback into consideration.
Can we run Scrum sprint in WBS Gantt Chart? The actual start/end date of issue in a sprint is not going to affect the planned start/end date in Project Plan?
You can also run the scrum sprint with WBS Gantt-Chart. The actual start/end date of issue in a sprint is not going to affect the planned start/end date in project plan when you set your baseline.
Comment on clarity of chart during tutorial: There are many repeating comments overlaying the Gantt Chart. Although I can easily ignore it, their absence would make the tutorial much more appealing.
Hi NeVraX Goes Pro, Thank you for watching. You can use Jira's "time tracking" data to calculate a progress rate by choosing that option. See the below page for the details: rssupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/WGCE0904/pages/166625318/Information+on+Gantt+issue+settings#InformationonGanttissuesettings-Editingtheprogressrate I hope I answered your question.
Thank you for your answer, but the documentation did not helped me much. On our projects, what's important are the fields Estimaded/Remaining/Logged, and I did not find how to reflect this data automatically in WBS Gantt. If I have to do it manually once my team has entered their fields on the board, the integration is pretty useless. Do you have a solution for me ?
As in the document, you can choose "Calculate with time tracking automatically" option for the progress rate (percent done). Then, WBS Gantt-Chart automatically calculates progress rate based on the "original estimate" and the "time remaining estimate." The equation is as follows: (Original Estimate - Remaining Estimate) / Original Estimate * 100 Other than that, I am afraid you can do not much with those values. Feel free contacting our support to share your situation in detail if needed. www.ricksoft-inc.com/support Thanks!
We keep redesigning the operations toolbar, and "Export" is included in the "Data" menu at the version 9.4 or later. Please see the release notes for the details. rssupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/WGC/pages/191528987/WBS+Gantt-Chart+for+Jira+9.4+release+notes
@@RicksoftInc Thank you so much for the reply! We use projects a little differently within JIRA. In a way, we use projects to represent the various departments, rather than a finite project. We then use initiatives as parents for epics. So in essence an initiative is a project. With the above in mind, would I be able to create a separate for Gantt for each intitiative? We would only want to be able to view the respective epics. Kind regards

Is there a chance you could make a more updated demo using the latest versions of WBS Gantt Chart? Thank you.

Hi Erik,
Thank you for your comment and valuable feedback. We will consider it when creating the next tutorial video.
Thank you for the extended features shown in the video. There is no link with issue "Time Tracking", or did I miss something ? Will it come soon ?

Good day.
Is it possible to configure the chart to only use epics?
Hi Gavin Cook,
Thank you for watching our video!
Yes, you can create Jira filter that extracts only Epic and creating Gantt from that filter.
Thanks!
