Gotta love a woman with vision for a project, wearing a plaid shirt, not afraid of hard work, with a tape measure secured on her right hip! No doubts that your new home reno will turn out beautifully.
It was a crazy storm. We moved down not even a weak before the storm hit. We were stuck on the other side of the railroad tracks. So happy the waters went down. We were renting in pincraft. Before the storm. So far the people I talked to had left arcadia. We were not prepared this was our first rodeo. It felt like is was just standing still🤦🏽♀️ lots of prayers were said. We didn’t have time to board up so I anointed all the doors and windows and prayed for protection. God was Good!

Those built in nooks in the boys room and play room are perfect spaces for trophies, books, and keep sakes.
It’s so sad to see all the flooding and damage from Hurricane Ian. 😢 I’m so glad that you all are okay and that the community is pulling together to help everyone clean up and recover. I love watching how you take a space and re-imagine it. You have such a talent for envisioning how a space can be rearranged and decorated! I can’t wait to see how the house turns out!
My heart aches for those who lost so much during the hurricane. Hopefully, they can rebuild and recoup their losses.

I normally don’t care for mommy vlogs but I do think you realize how blessed you are to have so much help with your kids and how fortunate you are to have lived in 2 beautiful homes and to be building another and decorating to your taste when most people have trouble buying and maintaining one home for their family please don’t ever take that for granted!!

Hi Lynette from Massachusetts here. Wow, you and Nick are like machines the way you go at it. Four kids, reno's, home cleanups...I get tired just watching you guys, LOL. I know it's going to look awesome when it's done. Boys are growing so fast getting taller. Girls are adorable! Glad you didn't have any major storm damage. God bless. Happy Birthday to Nick!
My suggestion: For animal smells use Odoban. These are my personal suggestions for proper guidelines refer to the Odoban procedures, we personally, for smells imbedded in concrete, used straight Odoban and let it sit for a few hours then washed and dried it off, you could put it on at night and wash it off in the morning for example.

I've never heard of charging for unfinished food, you already paid for the food! Excited to see the finished project, going to be beautiful.
I know!! How can that even be legal to charge you for something your already paying for??
I like it because it reduces food waste. Really makes you consider what you can conceivably eat vs what you'd leave on your plate unfinished.
@@vickenator Serving smaller portions would reduce food waste and help with obesity. I won't be paying for food twice...I pay once and then it is mine to eat, take home or leave.
@@janicew6222 All restaurants should encourage the doggie bag mentality so whatever is left unfinished is taken home to finish as leftovers.

glad to see you made out well. We are south Sarasota , got power back Monday and today, thank you Jesus, got internet. It is our 4th cat 3 plus storm, but the longest weve ever been without internet. Spent all weekend at the family center at Tuttle and Bahia Vista..my brother is the maintenance guy there and it was a mess...exhausted but thankful. sons and their families are in North POrt and Fort Myers...way worse off than us...
hit send to soon...our other property is in Arcadia...yesterday was the first time we were allowed out there...the chicken coop was destroyed, and 27 chickens are wandering the property ...but were realllllly happy to see us. we have been stopped at 72 for over a week
I'm thankful you and your family made it through the hurricane so well. The pastor of my church, along with about a dozen men are going to Florida to help with the cleanup. After growing up in Mobile Alabama, I have been through a lot of hurricanes. My heart hurts for those who have suffered so much damage. The house is coming along nicely.

Watching from Scotland and feeling lucky we don't have hurricane's here. Love seeing how your new house is coming along. Will keep watching to see it finished. You are certainly not afraid of hard work.
Be careful about selling your appliances to early. Those are hard to get in some places especially with Hurricane Ian issues.
Might be good to buy and have your new onew before selling current ones.
Didn't realize Nick and I were so close in age, just turned 33 this weekend! Love love love seeing all the progress on the Renos makes it more personal knowing you'll be living there!! Your pool is my favorite spot of the house so far ;)
You can close in those open storage/display areas and actually use them for extra storage. Put nice cabinet doors on them.
Can’t wait to see the finished product! It’s going to be so nice and spacious!
Your kids are gonna have a lot of room to run around and play and make some good memories!

We renovated our home and went through the same process. Sometimes things don’t work like you think they will. You will get there eventually.

Yawl are a hoot !! I love to see folks laugh at themselves and can have a good time. My late hubby was the same way. Always making a funny in stressful situations. I miss my hubby. I hope you don't have difficulty obtaining construction materials due to the hurricane. In the past this has been an issue after large hurricanes.Not meaning to be a negative nellie but just thought you ought to know. Your house will be beautiful I'm sure.Your putting a lot of thought into your decisions.
Thanks. Our contractor hasn’t mentioned it. Most stuff had been ordered already I’m thinking. Hopefully drywall won’t be an issue 🥴 that would be the main thing

Oh my heart breaks for all the death and destruction. I've lived in Florida most of my 64 years and these storms are so destructive yet we humans seem to think we are more powerful... I wish they would make it against the law to remain when they have ordered a mandatory evacuation...
Now we have all these work crews down helping to clean things up and I want to remind everyone that we need to keep them in our prayers because they are truly doing some very dangerous work....God save them and keep them safe.

Excited to see the progress on your new home and that you’re making suggestions for changes. We bought a home to live in in a couple of years. The more time we spend there the more changes we make to the remodel. Beams are on my request list!! We’re also going to visit Sarasota early in December and love your suggestions for shopping. Prayers too all dealing with the aftermath of the hurricane.

WOW so much awesome progress on the new place as always Lynette! The pool at the rental turned out beautiful- so great to see the boys enjoying it! It was so heart breaking to see the Peace River campground under water like that. HOW AWEFUL for all those people. 😢 I was born & raised in Naples Fl, so seeing all this destruction is really something. Thoughts & prayers for better days for those effected❣

Maybe you already have a power washer but if not, you definitely need to invest in one. You were doing a lot of work on that patio! Dog and cat hair is awful!! I think one beam connecting kitchen and eating area would be nice. Faux beams actually look like solid hardwood.
The ceiling is a bit low for several.
If you could put the space on a computer, you could play around with it all.

Glad your getting so much done. Sad to see all the flooding. My son’s house survived but lots of his neighbors had major roof damage. No water or power for six days. He did water and food runs for his neighbors and helped to remove tree debris. Neighborhood is looking better. National Guard was a big help
Demolition day is always a perfect day to take out any frustrations one might have bottled up. Lol. Love sushi as long as the rice is warm. If you ever see a Volcano roll on the menu, try it. Delicious!! The house is going to be so nice when it's all completed. Have a great week.
