You will pay 30 crores to an actor and 3 lakhs to a writer, what you will expect? I feel this country have great writers but doesn't get the value they deserve, whether it's about money or time. A two-hour movie needs around 60 hours of work at least, but you can't expect 2 weeks of 4 hours and 30 minutes work every day; it's a creative job sometimes you can some can't. A 25k words script may take three weeks or might be 12 weeks because it's creative job.
Audiences need to grow up first, sometimes movies with good stories are not hit because they don't have star actors.

It's wonderful that two of the best cinematic minds of contemporary cinema, aamir khan from north and ss rajamouli from south ( validated in terms of not having given a flop) have put forth this fact- screenplay is the king of the film!!
In the words of ss rajamouli, "you can tell a story about a table and a chair, but how you tell the story is that which will make it work"!! And aamir has had an experience through lagaan, and has quickly learnt the gist of it all, adheres by the same!!

Very true. How the story is portrayed is very important. A story is just the gist, which can be a short story or a novel or any other genre, but what makes a movie is the full screenplay.

Well and good, I listened and seeing this video, about film making and like it is very good for me, so I always think of that the story myself is always in my mind and I have written that in online in 2016/17 season but at that time, I don't know about script writing and don't know about film making but the scenes of every moment I remember in my life that I want to create now I have get some knowledge about filmmaking, and which material using in it and techniques for that and also technology for that which we can use so everything I realized and know for my creation of ideas that I really feel like myself so many improvements and plus minus in this regard, my be necessary for updates so I feel good about it.

"Kahani se script tak bahot badi journey hoti hey" Àamir Khan is so true here... the core thing in a film is how the "Kahani" is developed into a script.... an average story can be made into a great film with good script and vice versa.... the characters and situations which is put in the main story....makes a film good or bad. It can also be called "treatment" of the story.
The legendary Salim Khan Sir in one of his interview has talked about how to make a film "engaging & interesting" for the audience by witholding and revealing the information at appropriate time during the course of the movie.

Aaj ka yeh video dhekkhor mera 10/12 saal pahale ka eak bath yaad aya. Me Guwahati Assam ka, me bhi Assam ka warrior "Bir Lachit Bharphukoon" ka eak short summery story lekhe Amir Khan, Ashutosh Guwarikor aur Zee TV ka office me giya tha. Dekha jaye to woh subhygoki ki bhat hai. Mr Guwarikor ka office me woh file lene se bhi inkar kiya tha, tab chuta-muta bhat bhi huwa tha. Mr. Amir Khan ka office me tab mostly marathi bhai lug kam kortha tha, hamse bahut accha bhat-chit huwa. Wohi bhola subhygoki bhat hai. Yeha Assam Sarkar bhi kaushish kor rahe hai.

Bollywood mein sidhe tarike se kuch nahi hota. Koi Korean movie ki right purchase karta hai , to koi Hollywood movie ki , original script mein yeh hota hai reporter se news purchase karke movie banate hai , south Indian movies copy karte hai.

Read Aristotle's poetics. Poetics is the bible for writers. Every good story is written with a set of rules. YES! RULES! Even art has rules.
Read about the 3 Act structure and how the stories are formed. The Intention and the obstacles of the protagonist must be clear to you and in your writing. Without clear intention and obstacles there is never a good story.
