The answer is in the interview itself.... He said some time he loves the story and says yes, lekin baad mein wo film kuch aur hi ban jati hai bcoz it doesn't get proper resources... In case of TOH and D3 - the improper resource was common - the director...

Laal singh chaddha was a beautiful film...and he was the only saving grace in thugs.....he made lagaan which went to oscar instead of appreciating that if you are pulling him down, that shows your mentality.
