You can try, but it might not give you good results. I found doing it manually faster & more accurate. If you want to track something it's always better to have some kind of tracking marks on the object.

Basically I used 2 shots - 1.just the head without face mask, 2.head with the face mask + hands (from this second shot I masked out the face mask and hands - and I placed it above the 1.shot)

That was just because of the rotoscoping, so it wouldn't be too long. Because sometimes it can get laggy. But you don't have to split it.
