Yeah, they are quite similar, I always think that Jack looks like Cas, acts like Dean and has the situation and feelings of Sam. He really is their kid. None of them had good dads but they try to be for him 🥺
At the start of the whole Jack arc I wanted to hate him because Cas was dead but right off the bat he ended up being this sweet little bun that had so many questions and was already sorry for what he had done. then Dean came in treating him like shit when he was just trying his best. i loved seeing their little family grow and get stronger as time went on. Jack proved himself. He is a Winchester
That "Jack is not family" is extremely painful. But guys, consider the fact that Dean always say hurtful things when he is angry, betrayed or grieving. Like when he told Bobby "you are not my father". Then he told Cas "you are dead to me". Then lastly Sam "it should be you up there and not her". But at the end of the day, he still forgives. He never said it verbally but the fact that he is ready to spoil Jack, assume he will go back with them to the bunker and Jack's name on the table. It's a sign that he was just angry anf hurt but still loves the kid.
@@kasterborous9246 omg I honestly felt relief. I wasn't that satisfied on how Jack and Dean ended in the series finale tbh. I almost lose hope that the two could ever fix their relationship and be like the way they used to be before Mary died. I thought it was meant to be some kind of a symbol about life. That there are some mistake people commit that could change a relationship forever. And I know for a fact that things like that really happens in real life. But I tried to be positive about it until the sequel came out.
Doesn't mean his words don't hurt or leave scars. It doesn't matter how emotional or hurt you are, that doesn't give you the right to lash out and hurt others, and it certainly doesn't excuse it.
Yes!!! This broke my heart! I’ve always tried to see both sides of situations like this and I do, but I really wish they had been able to resolve it somehow. I hate that Mary died, (I know not everyone agrees) but after getting her back after so many years just to lose her again is tragic… I can’t remember exactly why he did it, but Jack wasn’t himself I know that much and that’s tragic too because he went right back to thinking he wasn’t worth anything.
Yeah I loved Mary too and her death was so upsetting to me. And the fallout of Dean and Jack’s relationship over it is such a hard and complex situation cause Dean has so much trauma over Mary and her death specifically. Like ‘ganking the monster that killed Mom’ was his purpose for most of his life and Jack re opening that wound would be so triggering. It’s just so rough cause Jack is his Kid. I love the idea of the arc, it’s a really interesting full circle conflict, I just hate it wasn’t fully resolved. Dean and Jack needed the same time and respect that Cas and Dean’s falling out had. I still love their dynamic tho. I hope we get to see Jack in The Winchesters maybe if Heaven!Dean is a character.
Oh my gosh, I just LOVE your edit, it's truly incredible!! But it breaks my heart way too much 😭💔 I love how you compared the similarities and differences between the way John treated Dean and the way Dean treated Jack and, in turn, how it effected them, it was perfect 👍🏻To be honest, I believe that Dean and Jack did resolve their relationship in their own dysfunctional way. I mean, yes, I definitely would have preffered to see Dean apologise to Jack for saying he's not family. However, I think that even Jack knew that deep down, Dean didn't actally mean it. Of course it hurt to hear but he understood that Dean was just willing to do and say literally _anything_ to take down Chuck and finally be free. They're both two very broken and flawed people so I wasn't really expecting a big "chick flick moment" for them to clear everything up. It just showed in the way they looked out for one another in the end and honestly, that's what really counts ❤❤
Thank you so much for your lovely comment ♥️ and yeah I do really like your idea that the forgiveness and reconciliation doesn’t have to be stated as that is very Dean. I just wish their story had been resolved with clear conversation cause I think so much of their conflict came from dishonesty and not talking 🥹
@@kasterborous9246 Thanks, you're so sweet ♥and I know right!! It's so frustrating how all of their problems could have easily been resolved with a simple honest conversation. But no, instead, they continue to lie to each other and keep things bottled up 😩
No, Dean treated Jack the way John treated Sam. John trained Dean, he put all the pressure on Dean to protect Sam, to raise Sam, Dean never did that to Jack. He just excluded and put him down because of his grief, exactly the way John did to Sam. He bossed Jack around and expected Jack to follow him despite everything he put Jack through, just like John did to Sam. John never treated Dean like he was an outcast, John never said he would have to put Dean down, John never put Dean down and treated him as if he was worth nothing, or made him feel like there was something wrong with him, he did that to Sam. No part of Dean's treatment of Jack was how he was raised, it was how Sam was raised.
To amend your heart like mine, try to watch the finale episode of the winchesters series. It was a total relief to me knowing that the two fixed their relationship in heaven at some point. Dean stated it himself that Jack really is a family to him.
I never saw how much they mirrored each other. But jack is living the better version where he has 3 dads to care for him instead of 1 like Deano. 🥺

we needed more time with jack, honestly
Thanks so much I’m glad you enjoyed. And yeah I hope we get more Jack in ‘the Winchesters’
Amazing Edit! This song just fits perfectly to this complicated relationship between the two of them
