- I was hoping Jensen would sing this song and he DID and I'm still really emotional! Like he said, it's about the basic of the show, it's about FAMILY that don't end with blood. So this video is about the SPN Family, about Team Free Will, about these wonderful characters that make SPN keep going and make it special. I wish I could have included all of them like Rowena, Chuck, Crowley, Jody... but yeah, nobody hugged poor Crowley yet, can you believe?! ;)
But this is dedicated to ALL of these amazing characters, and of course to the actors and you guys, the fans. Everyone of you make the SPN fandom feel like family, like HOME, and I'm stunned by this phenomenon every day. I watch SPN since day one and I can't imagine a life without it anymore. 12 years ago I didn't think that SPN would become such a big and important part in my life and I will be forever grateful. This hits different after watching the finale
I know, having watched Cas finally tell Dean that he loved him and sacrificed himself to save Dean, only for both Winchester brothers to go straight back to business as usual, as though Cas had never entered their lives, makes this video very difficult to watch. The show that spent 15 years telling us that 'family don't end in blood', 'always keep fighting' and 'you are enough' turns around and does exactly what they've been telling us not to do. Cas, who rescued Dean from hell, fought alongside them, healed them and ultimately fell from grace for them, was tossed aside like a cum-soaked tissue. The finale took everything the Winchesters and Cas stood for, everything they sacrificed and suffered, every bit of personal growth and tore it all down. The CW couldn't have made their disdain and disrespect for the fans any clearer if they'd pissed on our cornflakes and spat in our faces.

Can’t forget to mention how they threw Cas under the bus. The confession wasn’t even acknowledged and Sam & Dean hardly seemed to care that he was gone

I found this song two weeks after my brother passed away and I listen to this song to remind me he's never truly gone but I still miss him every damn day
I'm sorry for your loss. I've lost my grandfather in 2018 still miss him. Sixties and seventies or 50s music bring a smile to my face when I think of him now. He died of lung cancer. My mom was there with him and my gran for at least two weeks before he died. Never got to truly say goodbye to him. But at least my mom did. My dad was with her at the funeral, along with a few close friends, one who was the pastor of the funeral. I think I'm happy I didn't have to see him because I think it would have hurt more to see my strong grandpa so weak. He died at home at least, but with no one aware. He didn't die in his bed

I just watched the ending of supernatural....it was made before I was born and i only started watching it a couple of years ago but it's been such a big part of my life and I have had some really great memories with the show. My grandfather and I used to watch it together every time I went over to his house and whenever I watch it I feel like he's close to me again and I will always remember that and I will probably never get to thank Jensen or Jared for that but it still means a lot to me. My family always made fun of me for getting so emotional over it...ever since I started watching SPN I grew emotionally attached to the characters and I'm thankful for it and no matter what it was never just a show to me. It was my escape from my messed up life and it made me feel not so alone and not so much like a total freak because Sam and Dean had a messed up life as well and I know they had it worse but we were still a lot alike and I appreciate every thing that the characters have taught me and helped me through......some thing each character has taught me. Sam taught me that it's ok to be different from your family just know that no matter what they always love you. Dean taught me that it's ok to struggle sometimes just keep fighting because your family/friends are worth the fight. Cas taught me that it's ok to fall sometimes just get back up and keep being your self(even if you're a bit weird :) and Jack helped me with dealing with not knowing one of you parents and how to deal with the thought of getting to know them. I will always love Supernatural and all of the characters with every part of me and SPOIL ALERT! DO NOT KEEP READING IF YOU HAVE YET TO WATCH THE ENDING. Yep. It will be tough for me, too. People don’t understand how deeply a show can affect someone. Supernatural is so important to me as someone with mental illnesses I can always count on supernatural to make me feel better. The fandom is a family, the cast is a family, it’s beautiful and knowing that will end, likely soon to avoid making the mistake of dragging out, makes me sad :(

I know this sounds cheesy...but the show will never truly end as long as we, the fans, keep it’s legacy going. Yeah, eventually they’ll stop filming it, and the actors will move on to more projects, but they won’t ever forget their experience with supernatural, and neither will we. I know it's nearly unspeakable to think about but when the series ends...a long, long, long, long time from now...I think they should play this with Jensen singing at the end. We know Carry On My Wayward Son will be played but I think this song would be an incredible fit for the show to end on. Like Jensen said, it's the basis of the show. Carry On is and will always be the mantra for the boys to keep on like John telling them carry on my son and when it's all over you'll have peace and won't cry anymore. But these brothers and the family they've made over these years that's the base of the show.

I love everything about this video. Jensen’s voice. The editing. The song. The clips used. But more importantly, the sense of community in this family. Both the Winchester family, and the SPN family. There’s just so much support and love, and the actors/actresses on this show, as well as the characters, make it feel like we all know each other, even though most of us never even met them. I truly feel at home with this family, maybe more at home than with my biological family, and they have done so much it’s incredible. It feels like a big hug in a world where hugs are scarce. Thank you so much for making this video.

Audrey L. hugs definitely ain't scarce in Supernatural. It just tells you not to take things for granted, such as your own sibling or family in general. That's why these things happen where Jensen sings. It's not Abt the money, it's bc he loves going out there to do his job. To love and not let go. To show ppl that this is more than just a show. After this last season, it's over with. I think he's just out there making the best of it.

This song will always be me and my little brothers song. Me and him have a relationship of sam and dean.. instead of demon blood my little brother is battling and choosing drugs instead. Im the im the one that fought and become the “hunter” (military) on the family. Hes still giving into the drugs and i even done what dean did and cut him off. I love him but hes just not my brother i grew up with. Nothing can save him but himself.. he still listens to this song and for that time he is a peace but then its back to the usual. I have always loved this show and these characters because they are symbols of what i go through everyday… they give me hope 🙏🏼
