    Good tutorial.
    Ive always found it really worth the money to buy self bleeding pipes ( pipe fitted with a non return valve in the end)
    Not so much on bikes but on cars its the only way you can bleed the brakes as a one man job.

    With the 2 bleed valves on the rear, when do you finish one and start on the other? Great vid by the way.

    Thanks for this. Quick question, on the lower bleed screw on the rear caliper, does that get the same treatment as the upper bleed screw, or do you only need to do the top bleeder?

    • @docsworld9707
      @docsworld9707  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I usually only do the top as air raises but you could do both just to be sure.

    Very informative, what size hose/pipe are you using?

    • @docsworld9707
      @docsworld9707  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Corey suthons think it's 10mm o/d ..

    • @docsworld9707
      @docsworld9707  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Think its 8mm. You just need the pipe to be a squeeze fit over the bleed nipple

    how often should you do this, how many miles? (even if you haven't changed the brake pads)....and also if the bike sat for a couple of years, should you change it?........I know if you dont ride the bike for at least a year or two, you should change the motor oil, so i figure the same applies for hydralic brake fluid? no

    • @docsworld9707
      @docsworld9707  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes brake fluid is hydrdscopic which means it obsouves moisture. I do my fluid every 5,000 miles or every two yrs. Which ever is sooner

    Could you use a clamp or something to hold the brake lever closed while closing the bleed valve. Looks like a far reach. Thanks for posting.

    • @docsworld9707
      @docsworld9707  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes that'll work. Just dont put too much pressure on the clamp though.
