First gig was freakin hilarious ..I was sick ...bass and keyboard died mid way through..drummer walked off ..it went downhill from there Still 1 year later we played Ronnie Scotts/Jazz cafe and got a residency at the Rock Garden...don't sweat it will be fine!
Where you also in spinal tap
Would be awesome to see a video along the lines of "how to know when youre ready to pursue your first gig, join/start your first band, ect."
Tempered Expectations - are a good way to avoid disappointment in anything. So, we all have immediate control over that. Good tips, thanks
9:02, an example of this is that one Radiohead concert where they're in the middle of a song from their kid a album, I'm guessing, and the organ synth stopped working. which lead them to improvise and play creep instead
Awesome tips! Gotta be prepared and expect the unexpected!
My band has our first gig coming up June 10th. Kinda nervous. Thanks for the advice
My guitar fell out of the strap during my first gig. It was akward. But nice video, i wish i knew all that in my first gig haha
Ouch! I've had many a gig where that happens, I just played the rest of the song laid on the floor 😂
Thanks for the kind words!

Yeah! I've played a gig and that happened. I just sat on the floor and continued playing hahahaha.
saw this in my recommended and holy shit I am now fully awake from how fast this was. That's a good thing
Haha, thanks!
I was on acid at my first gig in a basement and I got a nose bleed for no reason.
great advice thank u
My band should be gigging at the end of this year, but first I need something better than my tiny 15 watt combo amp😂
However I doubt I have the money for a huge Marshall head and cab bass amp
Marshall do 100 watt combo rigs that might be more ideal for you!
Did y'all end up playing?
@@xavierlanejones yeahh we did, I've got an orange crush 100
@@tomyale1119That's dope bro I know the feeling gotta be exhilarating. I'm working on getting my solo gig stuff together currently. The orange crush amp gotta kick
“This the time to use your brain not your heart “ I heard that !!!!
Now you give us the advice
Our first gig was fucking ace, the audience sang our song, a song they had never heard, back to us
That's awesome! Glad it went well :)
Ive got the feeling no matter how famous you need a sound engineer.

Good luck!
