I dont like being a hater but they are sending the same ole same ole for like 3 years and have raised prices consistentl;y (first it was shipping). Highly recomend if you do watch gang get out after a year and only use the wheel when/if you want something
Agreed. I kept mine for 9 months, and had some good watches, but most weren't right for me. The wheel is the cheapest place to buy Spinnaker watches, however.
Yeah, I don't think I would've kept my sub going if it weren't for the channel. It is a lot of familiar dial layouts so whole bunch of same movement in different cases and dials. I think Watch Gang would be fun for someone just getting into watches maybe do a 3mo run and it might open them up 2 some different styles
@@SilverKeyMan yeah if it weren't for the channel I don't think I'd have my subscription anywhere near as long as I have. It's been a lot of fun definitely got some cool pieces I do think Watch Gang is a fun way for people to get into watches.
What subscriptions open you up to the wheel? Because I've been thinking the same, and was thinking I should do a black sub quarterly, but I'm not sure if that makes me eligible for the wheel
@@wardog5537 You can access the wheel if you have an account, even without a current monthly/quarterly subscription. I'm not subscribed to anything, but do check the wheel from time-to-time.
Also, personally I only really look at the "Wheel 2" for $160'ish, and if there is nothing interesting in Tier 1, I don't bother.

Good looking watch! I like that leather strap and the color is a great match for the blue dial. Aside from this watch, I think their price increase is too much. But that’s relative to each person’s situation, I guess.
Yeah, I'm not sure that I'd join at the $149.99 for the black tier, I've gotten some cool pieces but there's a lot out there at that price point.
Hey I noticed the hand movement was not moving on your watch. I’m guessing you have to open it up and put some batteries in it? I got mine as well and the hand movement was not moving so that is why I’m asking.
It's a Seiko Mechaquartz chronograph. The second hand subdial (bottom center) is missing from this one, but the large central second hand is for the chronograph.

Yikes the article I read was from 2018 back when it was 99 a month for the black. At that price point it's for sure not worth it unless you are turning around and selling it
Trying to flip them never seems to bring the $$$ you'd like I've definitely sold some I made $$$ on but for the most part I've taken a hit..... There are plenty of watches I've kept and wear constantly so that's nice.... I wonder if their new subscriber count has slowed or dropped with the price increase, I think people aren't spend the extra $$$ right now. I keep my subscription going mostly for the channel...
I like it. I've got my preference set for metal strap on my quarterly Black sub but certainly wouldn't be disappointed with that color / strap combo if it showed up.
Definitely a good combo! I never set my preferences so I've always gotten a random mix. How close has Watch Gang come 2 your preferences?
@@watchin9920 I'd say it's been about 50/50. I definitely prefer the diver / chronograph style but I've gotten my fair share of leather, dress bracelets, and rubber straps. The ones that aren't my style, I give as gifts.
