I'm trying to find a spot for the Hyroad in my bag... I'm 2 finger, 16mph, 450 rev... and the Hyroad is amazing when I use it on fresh THS playing between 7-10 straight up, which is more right than I want to start.... the only other time I feel it works for maybe 7 or 8 frames is when the carry down gets bad but then becomes completely unusable when their is friction because the back end is too angular/snappy..
I've been looking for a new ball and my PSO recommended the Night Road over the Zen for me. Background: I'm a 2H, rev dominant, but can't get my avg ball speed past 15.5-16mph for whatever reason. There aren't many 2H ball reviews so I've been watching your comps recently. Would you say that it would be friendly for a rev dominant player on house shots? Great reviews btw!
You mentioned you bowl league at South Point, curious to what is the first ball out of the bag there for you. My league always sweeps there from So Cal
So I have to ask something as I'm trying to learn and understand what balls work for me and obviously with the price I cant buy to many, but for someone lime myself who cranks the ball but with the way I release it, I tend to hook early and have a hard time pushing my ball down lane. I'm starting to think that I should.be in weaker balls that i can push down lane then let them snap of the friction. I know you cant really answer as you've never seen me throw a ball, but after this review and the way you were describing the ball reaction I'm think Strong is actually wrong for me. As always Great Review and description of the balls.
Steven my buddy Chris is a VERY high rev rate player and he's gonna be featured in some videos next week! I def recommend staying tuned for that so you can see some high rev rate recommendations
Night Road seems like it would be a niche ball. It’s not replacing the hyroad or hyroad pearl and if I need something earlier I’d probably get a better look with an iQ.
For me it gives me the hyroad and Hyroad Pearl motion but sooner like I dont have to wait AS long to get into those balls. not earlier as it hooker sooner just literally getting into to faster than I can with the hyroad and pearl
Night road looks like a good ball though Hy road has been my very favorite and ain't leaving my bag period for as long as I live since most likely the Hy road is here to stay though the IQ Tour might too most popular balls by storm in my opinion
@@LuisNapoles ty. that was my guess. time to watch your pin up vs down comparison for the zen again. which do you usually prefer to throw. especially when you have to get right of 20 at the arrows? i mean left of not right of 20
@@chrisd6370 LOL I thought I was the only one that does that. Only bowled 572 last night, but had 17 strikes. Had splits in the worst possible times though.
I've noticed so far (at least in the 1st 12 shots on the fresh lane) that every shot you threw that you didn't like, you didn't execute wrong with your hand. You didn't throw a bad shot, you just lost balance at the foul line. And would you say the Night road would be a good step down from the Idol Cosmos?
Hey Louis big fan of your videos! I own a night road and for me it over hooks a little too much on my league conditions. Would the regular hy-road be a decent step down for house shots?? I am just looking for something a little more controllable.
The Night Road acts like my Hyroad pearl after I resurfaced it from 1500 grit/polish to 1000 grit/polish-not a fan of the 4k finish. Not considering getting the night road as the resurfaced Hyroad Pearl is so close to it, it is not needed.
Had to watch this again because of the new "The Road" coming out. R2S Hybrid on the Hy-Road, is a much better match to that core. ReX Pearl Cover on the Nightroad was honestly not such a great pairing. I desperately hope that the ReX HYBRID along with the AI core will be a hit. I was literally looking to grab a hyroad, when I heard about the new one coming out next month.
My night road is a snap MONSTER, I am a 2 hander with about 600+ rpms and my issue is not enough length. I've had that ball cover 40+ boards and seriously jump a lane over... Thank God it wasn't league
I’ve been using the gem, been kicking ass with it, except last week i couldn’t get it to stay on the lane. Not sure why that was but, Would you recommend this night road, phase 2 or iq tour? For my second ball in the arsenal?
It's unfortunate that the night road didn't catch on. In my opinion it's a much better and more versatile ball than the hy road. My 2 favs right now are summit (factory) and night road (polished)
I like your videos just a question why don’t you ever do a review on a sport or challenge patterns? Everything looks good on house and unless you’re very knowledgeable about watching where a ball picks up all the reviews look the same no matter if it’s a high performance ball or low end.
The only reason he doesn’t and I think it’s cause he said it before. Is because more people are gonna be likely to bowl on a house shot then a sport or challenge shot. I think that’s the only reason you don’t seem him do reviews on a sport shot more.
It’s also just hard to constantly put down sport patterns all the time less you actually own or work at the center. Can’t just walk into a center and tell them to go out sport out just for you every single video
So there's lots of reason but here's the most commons reasons why not: Most people only bowl. on house shots so no point in putting out a sport shot. There's literally hundreds of sport shots so me deciding what pattern to put out based on the ball goes against what my channel is about (I show every shot no matter what so I bowl on whatever is out there) also its not easy to consistently get a pattern put out
90% of people are gonna bowl on house shot so videos like this aren’t supposed to be for a select group of people who wanna see sport shot, but you can find those videos. If you had the knowledge or if you’re not able to see it, each ball thrown has a different roll and reaction even on house despite being major or minor cause we don’t know what the house shot is nor lane surface of the alley but we can trust his judgement and opinions and look at the ball front to back instead of side to side. You just have to have an open mind and not be picky just cause it’s not house or sport.
Ok if you all have a ball or more and can get another do so as what you are seeing is the rules have limited what we can design in bowling balls so it's just a very minor tweek here or there but there will be NOTHING dramatically new until/if they change the rules on core/cover designs don't waste your money on a NEW old ball just get more of the ones that work fore your game.
But the cover is what dictates most of ball reaction anyways and thats always evolving and staying in one ball for to long a time will make the ball die eventually because of the cover not the core. These are facts not my opinions
@@smooth9531 Due to the rules limits on the core and cover we can't really design anything really new just make a minor tweek or rotate covers we already have. So instead of buying the ( New Ball ) at a higher price stock up on the balls you currently like as you can alter surface or layout to get it to do what they say the NEW one is.
@@LuisNapoles Also the bowling ball cover doesn't die, it settles in to a spot and will stay there for several hundred games if taken care of properly also a proven fact by testing.
"The night road doesn't hook" is receiving more attention than it deserves. It's a stupid comment and should be ignored. I haven't even seen it said anywhere, so the only time I've heard it is from people making videos referencing it. Let's just agree to throw it in the trash and forget it ever existed...
iu think the "no hook" take came from the fact that storm releases a bait video of the nightroad covering half the lane from deep. seems misleading to me.
All the videos they put out show people hooking the ball half the lane. It came from some people posting memes about the ball not hooking which are not true LOL
I just got a night road and boy does it hook! Love your videos
Thanks!

Just recently bought Hyped Soild, thinking this Night Road might be a good step down in transition
I think out def can be!
