Hi Val! While I'm not moving from Ohio to Kentucky, it was still intriguing to watch this video and support your channel with watch times. A quick update on us: our home is in TOM mode for the winter months. Who wants to pack up and move during very cold, and possibly icy road conditions? Not us! We plan to get our house back on the market in the Spring. By the way, Happy New Year! ❣

I moved from Kentucky (ashland) to Ohio (Delaware outside of Columbus). I am very surprised that I actually thought of positives I miss in Ky. The wind up here is not pleasant, which isn’t a big deal. The development and commercialism seems more pervasive and faster pace. The cost of living is much higher for rent and housing, and you have no buffer to development around your home like mountains and hills provide in eastern Ky. The private schools in Ky are often land based and have a beautiful folk culture of art and personalization. Most schools in Ohio are achievement based and look like a dentist office.
However, there is no good jobs in Kentucky for most people. Education isn’t good in public schools. And alot of people are poor, angry, and on drugs. If I could find a decent job back in ky I would go back.

Agree. Finding living wage work in Kentucky is FAR more challenging. However, I believe it's a good budget retirement state.
