Omdz I’ve just started to teach myself Spanish on Duolingo and No one speaks Spanish around me so i guess I’ll just have to speak to myself 🥴.

You’ll find that accents in Spain vary. For example down in the south (Andalucía) the accent I find very difficult to understand because of the thick lisps

Another thing , if u know Spain Spanish then will u be set for all the other „types“ of Spanish or will u have to relearn ina way

I like that way of thinking of it, you could deffo say that! Cos Spain’s Spanish is deffo harder to understand (for me at least) but that could also be subjective... it really depends on what you prefer. Because I prefer Latin American spanish, I find it easier. But if you prefer Spain’s, you may find that easier. Let me know how you get on! X

Wait is Spain’s traditional Spanish harder than South American Spanish for example?

Personally, I do find it harder yes. I prefer Latin American spanish as I find it much more easier to understand. But try out some Spain spanish tv shows and then some South American ones to see which you prefer. Let me know what you think! X

Pedro Almodóvar Films are great films - however, they are very controversial and you have to be really careful because of the upsetting history of Spain and the civil war that drove families apart ,speaking from experience.
