That's season 5 Deku because of the air force gloves, not sure why they didn't go for a more recent suit, maybe because shootstyle Deku's usually considered the definitive suit for Deku.
I've seen a couple reviews of this figure and I feel like you got a bad one because it looks like they just dunked the figure in black paint. The others ones I've seen are a lot more subtle on the black. The only positive I'm seeing with this versus the others I've seen is that the hair has black shading in it whereas the other reviews I've seen it's just green. I'm sorry you got a "bad" figure. Hopefully this doesn't happen for other figures you plan to get.
Ace you ain’t have to do my boy Raphael like that, red turtle is wild work. This figure is pretty good outside of the strange choices in using the black wash on his body, I think it’s worth getting for the effects at least if the figure doesn’t pass.
For $17, I have almost no complaints. You cant beat the value here. Im actually glad there was any effort in painting this and the wash. Look at what little paint you get with Marvel Legends and WWE figures for near double the prive in some cases.
I think the lack of black in the hair plus the flare upwards is supposed to signify that he’s glowing from being powered up, hence the full cowling effect pieces

For real. This figure is just fine and greatly poseable.
I have the fig and outside of the ankles/feet it's solid. The feet/ankles are a big deterrent.
The paint on it is SOOOOOOO BAD. Like in hand this looks so much worse than the video indicates. Good shit ace
