Hi Paul, when you came along through Little Ness and then along the coast road, where you stopped and them 3 lads came up the lane on there E bikes, you can actually go down there, a couple of hundred yards down there's a cafe on the right which you can ride straight into and park up, i use it all the time, its really good and has amazing views.
Don’t look at the chain as being an issue, live with it. I moved from a Pan European to a bike with a chain and had similar thoughts but after a couple of years it hardly crosses my mind. I use a Scottoiler X system which takes care of the majority of the lubrication and cleaning and I’ve only had to adjust the chain a couple of times. It didn’t even need adjustment during the whole of my trip through France, Spain and Portugal last year. As far as the gear change goes, in my opinion if it changes gear for you then it’s an automatic.
Hi Paul, Thanks for sharing your video and thoughts on your Gopro and Satnav. I don't know much about cameras but your review is steering me in the right direction. Regarding the Satnav, my RT (Yes I have one) is incorporated into the bike's system via my mobile phone and displayed onto the TFT screen. Sounds great, until your phone doesn't work then it down to basic map reading. 😉 I feel you enjoy the NT due to being lighter then the RT. I acknowledge you have had problems with the RT but you have also had problems with your NT. But saying that pal, like you said, if we liked everything the same, the world would be very dull. Tell, Ray my offer still stands regarding his squeaking discs/pads unless he has had it resolved. Finally, keep up the great work with your channel I really enjoy it. As always keep safe and always keep smiling mate. 😉😉😁😁 👍👍
Cracking vid mate,i enjoyed your "Gibbering" on about the bike n sat nav ;-) Are'nt you lucky living in such a beautiful location ;-) ;-) Ride Safe Mr B \m/
Sounds weird but I really enjoy watching others ride the NT1100 even though I ride my own, it's different seeing the DCT version as mines is manual. Keep up the good work pal, videos improving all the time. How do you find getting it on and off the centre stand? What radiator cover did you buy?
Hi Pal, thanks for watching 👍 The radiator cover was bought off Amazon. Link below. www.amazon.co.uk/Stainless-Motorbike-Radiator-Grille-NT1100/dp/B0BS6MSF41/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?crid=1Z3QGYSDFR4TS&keywords=radiator+cover+for+NT1100&qid=1681234315&sprefix=radiator+cover+for+nt1100+%2Caps%2C97&sr=8-4
Thanks Paul. Enjoying the content for years. I have a rt1250 same as you had, no trouble yet. I saw u had trouble in Romania with it shaking bolts lose not sure what else u had not seen all of last year's vids yet. I had a cross tourer dct and found it sublime so responsive in twists and love it at junctions. Cross tour was shafts drive but a bit top heavy. I'm a big lad six ft six how do you rate the room on the bike compared to RT. I heard ur comment on luggage. Two up looks tight on nt. How does power and economy compare pal
Cheers pal 👍 thanks for watching 👍 To be honest, find the NT1100 really comfortable. My wife's been on a pillion. Her only complaint was that there was no heated seat. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. It's actually plenty of room. I'm not exactly slim, and I'm OK 🤣🤣🤣 Power wise, plenty of power, yes not as grunty as the RT1250, but that's to be expected as 30bhp less. 👍👍
Not 100% sure what his model is. Regarding route planning, he uses Tyre to travel and google Maps. I'll ask him for you 👍 Thanks for watching 👍 cheers 👍
Hi Paul, do you mind me asking you if you have any issues with water and dirt coming up through the forks onto the bars and front of the tank because of this short mudguard. I was sitting on a demo model last week and other than it being a lovely comfortable fit , it was the only niggle I had with it
I don’t have issues with sat- navs , I use these things called maps & road signs ,& never failed to find my way in over 50 years riding motorcycles . I reckon the less nerdy tech gubbins on motorcycles the better & less to cause issues or put strain on the electrics & battery’s on modern bikes which already have their work cut out ,just powering the existing systems . You can’t get lost on the Wirral it’s one big cul de sac if you close the Mersey tunnels . 👍
I disagree! You may not be an 'off road' rider. But you guys are most definitely 'Adventure riders'. You can't do tours like Romania, and Croatia and it not be an 'Adventure'. (IMO) I think the lack of shaft drive was to keep the price down. (Obviously?) Secondly, a shaft drive would 'rob' quite a bit of power. Which some would may be consider it underpowered for some for two up touring with all the luggage.
Just put a manual shift on it so when you’re in manual mode can you use your foot to shift but obviously without the clutch lol Is the satnav rubbish that building in Apple CarPlay android auto I’m thinking of getting one of them satnav that u r using does it come with the power lead bike mount Or do you need to buy it separate The only problem with the Honda all them buttons on the left way too many videos I don’t do the same as BMW with the wiz wheel make it easier Shuffle Drive ok but I have a chain because of a chain breaks in the middle of nowhere you can fix it But a shuffle Drive you are screwed But they are nice bikes You should do a long-term review On the bike and let us know what it’s like to live it Keep the videos comeing and the GoPro make sure video looks so much better
Cheers pal 👍 thanks for watching. I did intend to buy the manual version. However, I found the DCT enjoyable to ride. The Garmin comes with a car lead and car suction cup and comes with a full motorcycle waterproof mount, which you can connect to battery. I got Honda to hard wire mine in. Thanks for watching pal 👍
Other than the luggage, it's actually ok. Comfort, I'd say, is better. However, on the RT, I had the lower seat, and the padding wasn't as good. The only other thing I'd say is the RT had a shaft drive rather than a chain.
@@paulgriffiths6404 glad you like it I sold my RT got a Yamaha Niken Which is amazing look’s crazy but The ride and handling are amazing Enjoy your trips with ray
A question Paul, why wouldn’t you simply use your iphone or Samsung ph with Quadlock (with a vibration damper) and Google maps or even Waze as your satnav? To me it seems like a much simpler exercise and you can bluetooth it to your bikes battery to keep the ph fully charged. Also what is the issue re having chain drive rather than a shaft drive ?? And don’t get me started on the loungeroom on two wheels aka the Goldwing. A big chrome laden soggy couch. Nah no thanks for that piece of crap.

Great vid. I really enjoy these random rides and chats. I'm glad you're enjoying the NT. Take care!

Did a good job keeping them clean hence not much looking after.
