This is my favorite game I have. I have never liked a game as much. It is a very simple game that was not well planned out for expansions, but if you figure out how different expansions work together, it is fun. It is also easy to pick up and teach people especially if they are new to deck building games.
Just got mine from my game store on Thursday. There is a good solo variant from the base game that works with this set. You would just need a stack of weakness cards from another set to play it.
@Josh Roberts I took a look on the forums. Are you playing the variant where the 20 weakness cards are a timer, and at the end of each turn you destroy a card in the line-up then refill? Looks interesting! Thanks!
Dale the Casual Gamer yep. And at the end of each turn the card furthest in the lineup gets destroyed. If a villain comes into the lineup with an attack ability you have to resolve it or defend it.
@Josh Roberts I just finished playing ... but the rules explanation I used just stated to "choose a card" in the lineup, so I didn't do the farthest in the lineup. That version will adjust the difficulty, and I didn't need it any harder. ;) Thanks for the suggestion!! :)
Dale the Casual Gamer in so used to the legendary system that doing it that way just seems natural. Your play throughs if games are always well done. I bet people would benefit from a play through using the solo variant.
@Josh Roberts I recorded it, now to watch and see if the mistakes were at a minimum. If its only minor items, it should be posted in the next week or two. Thanks again! :) I really love this game for its simplicity of set up and tear down. While I really enjoy Legendary and DC Rebirth ... setup and teardown is time consuming, so a quick solo version of this game is great!!
The one let down to the DC Deck Building has always been that there isn't an official solo mode, I do long for an official solid solo mode for this game. It just sits on the shelf waiting :(
@StrangerJona I was told about an unofficial version on BoardGameGeek that I tried out and enjoyed. I typically stay away from unofficial versions, but I really like this game, so I'll have a play through coming soon. This looks awesome. Great artwork, on par with Marvel Legendary!! I am not familiar with the Dark Nights Metal comics though... Might have to pick them up along with this game :-)

Not gonna lie, kinda wished DC make like a risk board game version of this

rebirth is the only expansion that can be played solo. the others you would have to play with 2 people.
