Great Video Northcoaster Hobby! To tell you the truth I prefer digital television, but from time to time I miss the analog days. I remember that you could receive both VHF and UHF signals with an indoor antenna (rabbit ears in my case) and the picture on VHF was great and UHF was watchable (some channels had good picture) unlike digital age where it is mandatory to install an outdoor antenna otherwise you get nothing or struggle with the reception. Also I remember as a kid that we had two rooftops antenna (one for VHF and the second for UHF) then I learned the reason why you need a second antenna. As for indoor reception I think the digital OTA channels have lower broadcasting power than the analog channels.
Yes with digital TV an outdoor antenna is a must, especially in my area, where I only can receive one channel with an indoor antenna. Back in the days of analogue I could put a set of rabbit ears on top of my TV and receive my local channels crystal clear no problem. Not so with digital.

This was EXACTLY what i was looking for, I have an old Casio TV-430 am going to be installing a lot of security cameras, I am going to use your idea for viewing the cameras to adjust as I mount them. It's going to make it much easier to not have to come back and adjust later. Thanks for the video.

Tested Casio pocket TV with TM70 UHF RF modulator and with VGA TO VIDEO. If set to PAL and PAL-Nc, the picture will stretched down and increase brightness, if set to PAL-M, same frame rate as NTSC, but black and white. BTW, BLU JENNY TV 2.8 cellphone with analog mobile TV tuner with various countries to select to scan some airwaves. Screen of Blu Jenny TV 2.8 are much LED like clear picture than CRT like LCD Casio pocket TV.

I have a similar Casio portable TV from the 1980s... put into storage all these years and when I plugged it into AC power, nothing... it seems dead (worked when I put it into storage)... any ideas how to fix?

These TV’s are analog. There’s no analog broadcasts anymore, so a digital tuner would be needed as I set it up in the video. Also works on Japanese NTSC-M Casio pocket TV (Japan UHF 13 - 62 : same as US UHF 14 - 63) but on VHF, only tuned down to 83 Mhz or 90 Mhz.

You can just get a coax to 2.5mm adaptor and plug it in up top and not have to wrap the coax stinger around the antenna

I don't know much but it is cam work on DTh dishes rather than adjusting UHF and VHF signals .
It’s only for over the air TV signals, not satellite. A satellite signal meter is needed to adjust satellite dishes.

Analog TV don't work anymore it got shut down in 2009 it was switched to digital TV you either need cable or a satellite

Maybe it’s the power supply. Try it with batteries.
I'll re-test the power supply, and could have sworn I tried new batteries... maybe it has leaking / bad caps internally.. alas.

What about using rabbit ears and a signal booster to transmit wirelessly?
That will work but is not allowed in many places.
Using coaxial cable 6ft would work in 20ft ?
