As a fanboy of Jin since Tekken 3, I'm pretty satisfied. He looks much more flexible in how he fights now. The flipping isn't as bad as I thought and the new kicks are awesome.

It's understandable for both gameplay and lore-wise that Kazuya returned in Tekken 4 and Jin hates Mishima bloodline so much he abandoned their fighting style, but it's still making no sense why he didn't use none of his mom moves after Tekken 4
@@deleanor9665actually it starts with a mid in this case so it's even better, there's no way you're ducking the highs after the mid in a real match and even if you could there's the ws1,2 mixup so it's basically 4 guaranteed moves to block, I'd say it's pretty useful

Ive been honing in T7 Jin for awhile now almost a full year (with gaps cus i work) but im genuinely fuckin giddy too see that they didnt outright change his moves they just made alot of his combo openers more baddass and just amazing all around and im glad that he now has an easier sweep as the whole ewfg directional prompt is tricky to master. Im definitely ready and hope that in later competitions that hell actually get used more
@@HappyLMegas Kage is a character introduced in the fourth season of Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition. That was his first appearance. He didn't exist physically until Ryu overcame the Satsui No Hado. He isn't the exact same manifestation as Evil Ryu.

I understand that the flipping and scratching is because of Devil Jin, but imo they should've stayed away from those moves. If they wanted to merge the two for obvious narrative reasons, then just make Jin stick to the more karate-like moves Devil Jin has (he has a few of them in Tekken 8 as point of reference).
I mean yeah and no. I get it. But this is still a more exposed way of showing Jin having more control over his Devil Gene by using those particular moves as it shows more of the supernatural abilities to his character. Him using just the regular traditional footed martial arts moves from DJ would have not expressed that enough in his development as a character

Unpopular opinion. I dont like that they added a special move to df2. I was so used to fishing for counter hit launches with it in t7. Now whenever i see other characters with a launching df2, i get jealous and say i miss the old jin df2.
