I was hyped for this game and demo surpassed my expectations. I like Persona 5 and Shin Megami Tensei V but I like this game far more and we barely experienced it. This struck an overall balance between SMT and Persona with the overall package. I can not wait for more. I was like sigh when saw the first trailers and it was about racism and I was like I hope this isn’t too on the nose but they are obviously doing some real unique meta stuff with it. The Story in the book and Humans. This is not just some basic storytelling like someone said here.

Metaphor is way more like Shin Megamei Tensai than it is Persona. I've been having a blast with it. From what I've played, this is probably the best game atlus has made so far.
Hope that’s true. I loved the demo, so if I love the full game that much I’ll definitely play SMTVV
I’d say it’s a perfect midpoint. The gameplay loop is definitely Persona, but the combat is SMT.
@@PixelPikmin I think OP is exaggerating a bit because I think Metaphor has a fair bit more Persona DNA than SMT, but SMT is also fun and I can vouch for its quality. It's definitely not for everyone though; you need to be able to have the capacity to love turn based combat, and mostly just that turn based combat. SMT's content is like 70-80% combat so if you don't like the combat, it's not for you. Metaphor has basically the same turn based combat as most SMT's (minus the action based preemptive strikes), so if you like that, you'll probably like SMT's combat too. It's a good metric to use when considering getting into SMT.
Also, in SMT, you're going to be fusing new demons in the world of shadows to build your team. A lot. If you don't like sitting in menus and thinking about how to build your team for very long, then SMT probably isn't for you.
Beyond those stipulations, SMT is a very cool franchise about becoming godly and having an ever-growing army of fully customizable demons at your disposal, and the atmosphere in each game is extremely dense and rich, thanks in no small part to the raw and gritty soundtracks accompanying them. You'll be jamming to wild tunes for the entire duration of it, and even listening to the soundtracks during your own time even when not playing the games. imo it is worthwhile to try the games out.
This hit. I've been in this demo since launch. Super Hyped for the story. Everything is looking promising so far. Now to see all the dungeons and content on release.
Metaphor has ps3 graphics but they jave zero issues with elden rings ps3 graphics 10/10 hypocrisy cant stand gamers sometimes
Story is basic. But yet people can’t understand the convoluted story of FF7 Rebirth that story is ASS
The initial premise of the story might be simple, but things are going to absolutely go sideways (in a good way I’m sure) as we figure out wth is going on with that fantasy book.
imo I think there is a difference between having complexity to your story and having nonsense multiverse bullshit to give the illusion of the story having complexity. Kingdom Hearts and FF7 Retrilogy are definitely the latter.
Simple but i bet it will be more memorable then that turd ff rebirth no one will ever talk about that game ever again next year
