Hi Guys, the full hike at Sliabh Liag is a looped hike, so worth it, it drops you back down towards the Rusty Mackrel Pub, a cracking spot for grub and atmosphere, well worth it. Ards Forest Park is pure magic, almost tropical, also well worth the effort, very close to Horn head which is superb, isolated and unspoiled!
You make my home county look cool! It's one place you know will never become over commercialised because of the incessant inclement weather. The Wild Atlantic Way was a great idea to bring more people into the county. Tell you friends!

You missed some spectacular waterfalls in the Dartry Mountains on the Sligo/Leitrim border. Glencar and Sruth in Aghaidh an Ard (the Devil’s Chimney). On the other side of the mountains you walked under (Benbulben). The second one is 150m high.
Good suggestions! There's so much more we would have loved to have done along the route that we just couldn't cram in! I don't think the Devil's Chimney was flowing when we were there (we had a spell of warm weather!) But, this just gives us another reason to come back to Ireland and do it all again!

Thanks for watching! Frank is 3/4 border, with a bit of Norfolk Terrier in him. So we think that's where the dappled colour came from! Bless Ginge, they make great dog companions ♥️
We did 4 weeks on the Wild Atlantic Way in August / Early September but did it the wrong way round. Culdaff beach was our first overnight stop. It's a great spot to start or finish.
Haha! Who knows which is the right or wrong way. Either way, nice place to stop/finish the roadtrip! Don't suppose you know where the official start/finish is in the north? Ha! 😅
@@TheseWildJourneys I think I saw the first route signs soon after I crossed the border from Northern Ireland at Muff and the first discovery point was Magilligan Point View, just north of Moville.
Thank you! Good question, the roads in Ireland weren't too bad for the size of the van, but I remember there were a lot of pot holes 😂 if you've ever driven down a country road in the UK, then you should be fine!
