I just wonder if using steel have some drawbacks if there are any, since rubbers /plastic bushings are utilized to dampen vibrations between parts. Any rattles or opinion if vibrations will affect other parts in the future?

If you have one, you will know that it doesn’t need a grease.(minimal movement,plus the smoothness of the stainless steel won’t damage or scratch it, even if they grind rub to each other.) but if you want to put a grease, of course you can.

There will be no vibrations, since it was exactly fit in the cable. The steel bushing will serve like bearing so nothing to worry about.
