While this background is more late 80s than late 90s, it's still nostalgic for me because my Mom's company was a bit outdated, and she did love her beige silky tops. She was an accountant and her cubicle was oriented almost the exact same way, same gray panels, height, and lighting. Towards that left corner of the table is where you'd walk in and she'd always have a mini plastic lizard just to occasionally catch people off-guard. I remember my Dad taking me to her office to all have lunch with her on the boardwalk, since it was situated on the river downtown. Then once I got my learner's permit, I was eager to show off how I could drive myself there. She changed departments a few times, but every time I'd visit we'd do a parade around the floor as she would repeat whatever my recent academic accolades were. I felt like a spectacle but I really understand now she was just proud of me. And especially being 35 now at a large company, I know how monotonous the day could be and how much of a second wind my short visits would give her.
Waking up in 2024 to work from home with a brand new MacBook, but still love the vibe 80's and 90's give to us. Let's attack the day, guys. Let's enjoy the life.
From Germany 🇩🇪 Cheers!!! What an era! I was born in 83. How I wish I could stop time! And go back to this golden age. The women of that time were beautiful and delicate.
Her look is more 80s rather than 90s....I was there ;) Especially by the late 90s....1999 clothes were more about minimalism rather than the voluminous blouses, shoulder pads etc of the 80s.
same. I just recieved a box full of photographs from my dad (they cleaning up their place) and saw mom with baby me, its so this videos picture, mid 80s. nothing wrong btw, its cool music here to listen to (andnow I need to figure out how I wanna keep the photgraphs, boxed or in a album. (cause our old ones fell appart for some reason) Found a pic of my dad behind his work pc, thats also cool, MSDos, work software and files. the old binders, floppies (not those diskettes XD)
Definitely. Modern music inspired by the soundscape of the 80s, and mostly 80s fashion on the woman. I do think the laptop is too modern for the 80s though, even in the 90s most laptops had mad bezels.
Ok ok “80’s” ok we get it sheesh lol can we just enjoy it 😅 feeling nostalgic of a time where I was just a kid wishing I was an adult & now I know why I still yearn for this because look at society now smh 🥴
@@wza223-fo3mc Yeah you are right. But i'm not a kid.I'm 28 years old and i'm fighting to have a position like this not only because i like it but because i must survive. That's what we are trained for.
Love these office playlists, although I don't like working in most offices. This music is way (is 'way' still used today? Lol, my niece pointed it out like it's obsolete...) better than what offices in the 1990s usually played.
You're not a 90s kid. I was also born in 96 and think it's ridiculous to call yourself a child of a decade unless you were born in the first half, because you're not old enough to experience any of it.
personally I prefer the cubicle to todays open spaces. Can't stand people around talking their own business in my face..you need a diet space to be able to focus and be productive
That's a very old fashioned Lady in an old fashioned office space working on a large calculator with 80s music in the background. Nothing here feels 1999
Background is just wrong, you work in an office, you would have a desktop computer, not a laptop. Her dress is more like late 80's than anything else, so is her haircut... Other than that, awesome track list!
1999. What a time to be alive. We had optimism for the future. We still had time to sort out climate change back then. American and Russian relationships were not actually that bad and START agreements were being signed. 9/11 hadn't happened yet and NATO hadn't started their expansion campaign in the middle east destabilising the whole region. It was better times. I fear Prince and the Matrix will forever be proven right in saying 1999 was the peak of our civilisation.
Yeah, I'm right there with you. I was 11 and worried Y2K was gonna cause a collapse, but other than that, it was all good. My parents were young, the economy was good, and I had every reason to think my future was bright. I haven't felt that way in such a long time....
Playlist is great but I'm SO glad I don't work in an office like that. Depressing, no natural light. Probably a soul sucking job. But hey, still a cool picture.
This is AI's concept. The computer is all wrong. There were no flat screens in the 80s or 90s. It looks like a mixture of a tablet on a typewriter keyboard. There's no mouse. No wires. Everything would be wired.

Just about 35K now! Nice run-up!
More 1989 than 1999... but I am digging it... ❤

this memory is a treasure more precious than money, the only one worth it.
Wholesome memories there, my friend. Cherish them.
thank you for sharing, it's very touching

What a beautiful memories. Thank you for sharing.
Wish i had a computer like that in the 90s 😂
Look like AI-generated (the photos on the wall are kind of blurred)
My first thought! lol
My 1st computer was a Dell laptop in 1996.
Wish I had a girl like that in the 90s
thats a calculator jajajaja xD

I just put this on my playlist: Background Music for Work. Thank you.
Feels more 80s than 90s.
except there were no flat screen monitors in the 80s or 90s. This is AI.
this looks and feels more like 1987 than 1999.

agree We did not have hair or shirts like that in 1999 Also the music I am not sure...

Not what we were listening to in the 90s but good visual
Also, not what people dressed like in 1999. Gen-Z thinks between 1980-2002 the world looked like Stranger Things.
A melhor playlist do canal na minha opinião ate agora, tenho ouvido aos poucos, e cada vez gostando mais obrigado amigo
Simpler times hit so hard
1999 was not a simpler time in anyway!

Really it does. 🥲

Well......this sounds nothing like 1999 xD
But it's a good playlist ! Thanks for the effort
And not even the clothes. Lol
This playlist is pure nostalgia. it really gets me in the vibe!

80년대후반과 90년대초 중반의 과도기를 잘 표현한 분위기...
그렇지만 90년대가 더 우세하다는 느낌이 더 드는 플레이리스트.
I'm curious about who is the creator of the image work? Incredible!
Love the music
thank you!
Are you on Spotify?
Great music! Is there a track list available?
The Thong Song was already out in '99. And there was no way you would go out with those shoulder pads if you were under the age of 30 in 1999.
Let me see that Thong!!!! wild times
I am a '90s kid currently 28 years old but, still I feel like a teen or younger than that whenever I hear 80-90s songs

I'm 29 but I wouldn't classify myself as a 90s kid. I barely remember anything from the 90s!
Exciting times, the world looked like it was firmly evolving into it's digital age.
yes!!
1999 ??? I was still 3 yo.. 😁 how time fliessss.. omg

we're happy...
Laptop! Ha, more like Oregon Trail on my giant tower of a machine back in 99!
I like how Oregon Trial was a collective experience for us "of a certain era"
There 100% were sub notebooks that looked like that. But you're right that it was not the norm.
Women of yesteryears were so beautiful

Thirst much
Yea the obesity rate wasn't high back then .
Dude it's an AI image of an 80s chick pretending to be 1999
10:30 What track is that
11:00
Depends on which part of the country. But this looks like 1980s clothes, hair and color palette, in California, not 1999. Laptop. Not sure.
This is likely AI generated but man do I want that laptop.
replace the laptop with a huge-ass beige monitor and a matching keyboard with giant clacky keys and then you've got 1999
There were absolutely sub-notebooks like that in 1999. Source: I collect shit like that.
now we siiting at home
what's the song at 1:10:51 ?
la musica es electro waves de los 80, estilo the weekend
Are you sure this is 1999? I was there, a freshman or sophomore in high school. Maybe 89.
19:32 Doc is that you?
This outfit was considered vintage in 1999😄
in the image its missing a big physical printer using half of the desk space
this computer looks like it is from 1994 or so. There was a Pentium 3 in 1999. I doubt that this laptop has pentium 1
Whats the title of the track at 27:32 ?
I think they meant 89 or even 80's
no laptops in 1999 - to expensive for an office :)
