My bride had a miscarriage (her/our second) a few days prior and we hadn't told anyone that she was pregnant yet because of the first miscarriage. She and I went to see "Up" with some friends of ours and that beginning was extremely said, no doubt. She and I, particularly her, held it together very well until we got in the car. Cancer treatment she got while in high school apparently made her unable to carry. She got cancer, again, almost 30 years after her first two bouts and, after two years, I lost my bride. That was almost three years ago. The beginning and end to "Up" are pretty much unbearable to watch. I still love you, Donna Lou, and even if I knew then what I know now, I'd still do it all all over again with you.

The "Fallen Rain" sequence from Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron never fails to make me cry, no matter how many times I've watched it. One of my favorite things about the movie is they let the music be the voices of the animals instead of going the Disney route and giving them voice actors. And that makes the scene where Rain is dying from a gunshot wound all the more heartbreaking to watch - even more so as Spirit is dragged away by soldiers and she's too weak to even keep her head up for long. THEN you have the whole "Sound The Bugle" sequence 😭😭😭😭

    Top 3 (In my opinion):
    1. Mufasa's death
    2. So Long Partner
    3. Bambi's mother gets shot
The way I see these heartbreaking moments is through young lives. Mufasa's death and the ending of Toy Story 3 scene are pretty close, but Mufasa's death took top spot because of how dramatic and heavy this scene is, including the dark humor that lead to his death.

What makes bing bongs death so sad is the meaning behind it, it was basically a moment of riley forever losing a part of her childhood innocence with bing bong fading away, many of us had that very same childish wonder of the way things are and yet we all have forgotten it sooner or later

F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Season 6 Episode 14 "The One Where Chandler Can't Cry"
Phoebe: Oh y’know what’s sadder than this? Bambi. I cried for three days with that movie. No wait two! Because on the third day my mother killed herself so I was partly crying for that.
Chandler: Well see now that I can see crying over, but Bambi is a cartoon!
Joey: You didn’t cry when Bambi’s mother died?
Chandler: Yes it was very sad when the guy stopped drawing the deer!

I disagree with #19. I'm going with Charlotte's death scene itself. That is, by far, even sadder than the departure of most of her children. At least three of her children stayed. Charlotte stays gone. 😭
As sad as Stoick's death scene is, I cry even harder when Hiccup and Toothless say goodbye in the final movie.

Number 3: When this movie came out in '94, I was in the US Navy, stationed at Norfolk. I was second-generation military, and an Army officer I knew from back before I enlisted, was in the area, with a civilian friend of his in tow.
I forget what else was playing at Main Gate 10, but we ended up settling on The Lion King. (Which, last I checked, the theater was still there, but the quarter century since apparently hasn't been very kind to it.)
Anyway, the scene at Number 3 on this list, is the only time I can remember hearing that old Army officer cry during a movie. ANY movie. Like, ever, before or since.
That old Army officer passed away fifteen years ago.
    I still miss you, Dad.

Littlefoot's mom dying has to be the saddest thing I've ever seen I mean she literally fights a T Rex twice. Then lives for several hours into the late night and cold rain to stay alive long enough to tell her son everything he needed to know on his journey to the great Valley. Nothing against Mufasa but he got ran over by rush hour wildebeest.

    • @mangaanimefan3089
      @mangaanimefan3089 ปีที่แล้ว

Well, he was also thrown onto the ground on his back from a 15-20ft drop. If that didn't kill him immediately, it probably broke his back and kept him from dodging the rush hour wildebeest.
Although, considering he is a lion, you would think he'd have been able to flip himself over. At least, a little bit.

I definitely agree - Mufasa’s death, Tala’s spirit visiting Moana, and the end of Toy Story 3 all made me cry.
I also cried during the incinerator scene in Toy Story 3. I knew it wasn’t the end but I BALLED 😭😭😭 when they reached out to hold each other’s hands as they approached the incinerator.
Lastly in Coco, both the flashback scene where Hector sang Remember Me to Mama Coco when she was a little girl and when Miguel sang it to her to help her remember. Oh my HEART! 🥺😩😢😭😭😭

That was my wife and I. We married in 2009. We wanted to travel to Hawaii, but everything came in the way. Same with kids, we don't have any even though we tried. She died in January 2021 at the age of 49 due to malpractice (not Covid19).
