    We got 3ft of snow in 24hours this year just 15 mins north of the American boarder... I doubt these things could keep up or handle the white out conditions or the snow plow covering it in...

    Why is everyone mad about them taking jobs?? So you would rather be the one working in mcdonalds all day 5 days a week? Or folding clothes or driving trucks all day?? You are crazy, i would rather have machines to do all the boring stuff!

    • @jacquesdeburgo2878
      @jacquesdeburgo2878 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Joe L those jobs may not be fun but they employ hundreds of millions around the world. What's especially concerning is that automation won't create more jobs than it will cost.

      he seems unaware that prototyping is the first and most expensive step. yet he's on a dirt bike, the first of which would have costs many times more in todays currency back when they were first created.

    • @evanjaeger2391
      @evanjaeger2391 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      They cost way more than that. Two drive motors will cost $1000. Those LIDAR sensors cost $5000 alone.

    They already can make autonomous automobiles without having any type of reflector or sensor alongside the road why not just hook up snow plow to the front of a truck put the autonomous system in it add some upgrades for the snow plow and call it a day these things are garbage what if the snow is 3 ft tall

    • @StraightUpFerret
      @StraightUpFerret 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Kyle Pasta I think you're wrong about that. There's going to be jobs for engineers far into the future, that goes for software and hardware engineers.

    • @kakashi76767
      @kakashi76767 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      2 ways to deal with that: One is for governments to give out allowences, like $20,000 a year just for being a citizen (paid for with taxes coming from the companies that use the robots to make everything one needs). If the companies refuse, they will all go bust because poor starving homeless people and robots don't buy things) If people want more money than that they can do other work. Some traditional jobs will be left, and I'm sure many new jobs will crop up. I'm guessing lots of them will be focused on entertaining people (think TH-camrs and people like me who self publish stories, and other jobs that will spring up to replace the old). So the future is not as bleak as you think it is.

      The AMV TOP 50
      The future is gaaaaaaaay

      We should be focused on better things

    • @kylepasta
      @kylepasta 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      StraightUpFerret until the robots are capable of coding other, better robots because they run algorithms to find glitches and correct them. Humans will be useless
