Is corn syrup the same as glucose or a substitute ? If not, where can I buy it ?
They are not entirely the same, but you can use corn syrup. Any baking stores sell glucose. Perhaps you want to check it online. Wish you lots of success.

Should be fine to use powder. Just google the conversion ratio. There are plenty of resources online to help you.
