I saw him live at Day on the Green in Oakland in ‘85. I also found his earlier recordings from Alcatraz and Steeler and I was hooked. I could never get anywhere close to his playing but I still enjoy hearing and watching him play.

When I first heard Yngwie back when he was in Alcatraz I was blown away! Then I heard earlier music from him when he was in Steeler and I was blown away all over again. Needless to say I played and played to try and build a part of my playing style to resemble his. Anyway, I absolutely love this musical piece ! He is still great!

I have a 1988 yngwie strat and I sound like me lol though I have to admit, a little yngwie shows up from time to time 😂 not a surprise as I've been a fan since 1984 and while musical tastes change and we explore I always follow this dude. He does what he does and his impact is and was huge for me so glad he is still doing " his thing" without compromise.
