This is so much more of an appealing martial arts style then the cage sport of MMA! I truly believe kudo is very practical and extremely effective for street self-defense much more so than MMA! That kimono is a weapon not to mention kudo has all of the techniques and tricks that MMA has and even some tactics that MMA does not have! Kudo is excellent! Just imagine how effective you could actually be as a martial artist if you cross train Judo and kudo!
I like it too, but the Kimono thing I'm not so sure about. Nobody outside of class is going to be wearing one, and a regular T-shirt would probably just rip and tear.

Oh,that's a kind of trans an altered state of mind. Is it difficult to travel into that space and out of that. You seem to have got into a different world with different state of mind. Does it involve the rest of your life or is it confind by the gym? My son is into kudo, but he's got a simple physical practic,I think. Special soul effords are needed to have a proper fight,doesn't it?
I didn't know jui jitsu did full contact sparring, that's cool. This video is a bit old though. Kudo has evolved a lot. It changes very fast. That's the whole point of the art, to keep an open mind. So while a lot of the stances are still the same you see a lot more complex judo as well as ground game.

極真もカッコいいし、寸止めも美しいですが、
様式や形式に取られず格闘のできる空手といえば、空道なのかと。

It's grappling is from judo. There is no kudo without judo.
